Cummings didn't say whether he skipped the meeting though.
Trump was only speculating about what Shumer may have said. The only factual assertion he made was that Cummings skipped the meeting - which Cummings didn't deny.

Twisting of words...
Trump never said Schumer told him not to show for a meeting.
He was speculating as to why Cummings declined the meeting. We all can speculate what the real reason is and that is the Democrats have agreed to NOT work with Trump on any issue.
That is one of the problems in this whole discourse.
Do you seriously believe(even as much as you disagree with Trump) that he would have singled out Cummings (member of CBC) about a meeting they were going to have that got canceled by Cummings side if the meeting hadn't originally been agreed to?
I mean seriously, Trump probably never even knew who Cummings was 6 months ago.

If forced to decide who is lying and who is telling the truth between Cummings & Trump, I'll choose Trump every time. So far, he's been willing to tell the truth even when the truth wasn't popular.
