Dems on chance to save the down tickets is to give Biden the boot and distance themselves from him as much as possible. Biden can’t walk back his nasty campaign rhetoric that many people feel caused the assassination attempt.

Biden (really the Jill and Hunter brain trust) has terms on which he will resign they just haven’t been met. They’re negotiating.
Probably something along the lines if $100M cash payment plus new president pardons Hunter. They need one last grift to tide them over and make Hunter a free man.

I believe this to be the case, but I'm hoping that the real story is that Hunter and Jill are just arrogantly dug in and not budging.
