No… you can buy them over the counter now(I won’t say where because you obviously don’t know)

I didn’t think I needed to specify legally. I’m sure you can by meth over some counters as well.

You either steal the raw ingredient in a 55-gallon drum by robbing a chemical distributor, or you conduct a heist of a train out in the desert by pumping it into a tanker truck.

Don’t forget to pump back 8/10 of what you steal with water due to the difference in density…

This, imo, should lower medical care.

True. I myself suffer from a water addiction. We should regulate water too. It is possible to overdose on it.

Now end the eye DR racket as well. If I want to wear contacts that are an old prescription that's my business but forcing me to go to the eye DR to every year is bullshite.

I’m thinking the AMA will fight this pretty hard.
Your assumption would be a mistake. The AMA rarely represents medical interests over the governments interests. It hasn't really represented medical interests for the better part of 3 decades or more.

That's a fact. A simple search would show posters that in ASIA, Africa, Europe...etc Many nations sell them OTC.

Yea, this is dumb. How can they justify requiring a prescription for glasses, but then sell reading glasses without a prescription? It's the same thing, just in a preset magnification.

My wife still gets AMA letters in the mail asking for donations. When I see those in the mail box, I throw them away before they can even make it in the house.

This will significantly speed up overdoses and negative side effects.

As well as underdoses and ineffective use.

Providers don't always make one-size-fits-all recommendations. You know how you always have to weigh when you go to the doctor, first thing, before you see them? There's a reason for that.

Also, how is insurance supposed to pay for it if it is sold over the counter?

So your argument is the US should strive to be more like Asia, Africa, and Europe? Scorching hot take there, buddy.

What is more ridiculous than anything else is having to get a prescription to buy contact lenses. What a ripoff.

This is the correct answer.

People would be surprised to learn that a small minority of physicians are even members, and most of the ones who are are students (because they incentivize students to sign up).

It has nothing to do with medical concerns or interests.

Responding to your false claim of a superbug in a weeks time if antibiotics were sold over the counter… that’s obvious bullshite

As long as they specify the difference between addiction and habit then I'm okay with it.

Like, anti-histamines are not "addictive" in the truest sense of the word, but many people have become dependent upon them as sleep aids.
