Loretta Leigh Bowman was born in Virginia; her mother was an insurance agent and her father was a police officer before joining the U.S. Army and moving the family to Fort Sill in Oklahoma.Bowman was a finalist for the 1988 Miss Oklahoma USA contest and is credited in the 1989 slasher film Offerings.

Leigh began her professional career working as a television news anchor, reporter, and producer. She left television to work on congressional campaigns during the Republican Revolution of the 1990s, before moving to Texas in 1996 to continue fighting for Christian conservative values. There, she founded Southlake Realty, a boutique real estate firm.
Leigh has been recognized as a Top 5 Power Player in North Texas by Axios. She is a frequent voice on national media, appearing on Fox News, Steve Bannon’s War Room, OAN’s Tipping Point, The Charlie Kirk Show, and other platforms, championing conservative values and policies while energizing grassroots activists across Texas and the nation.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in organizational management from Dallas Baptist University.
Amidst the George Floyd protests in 2020, Wambsganss made a Facebook post stating "Sadly, they need to die - but they would still vote" in reference to Black Lives Matter protestors
Bowman married David Magee, a firefighter in Grand Junction, Colorado, in 1993. The couple moved to Fort Worth around 1996 then Haslet in 1998, but divorced later that year. She married then-councilmember and later mayor of Southlake Andrew Wambsganss a year later in 1999. They have two sons and reside in Southlake.

Rehmet was born in Garland, Texas. His parents were an airline mechanic and a salon worker. He grew up Republican. At the age of 19, he joined the United States Air Force. After four years of active duty, he left the Air Force and joined Lockheed Martin as an aircraft mechanic in Fort Worth, Texas. He was elected president of the local and state chapters of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.

The fentanyl crisis is devastating families across Texas and Taylor believes we need to get serious about both justice and recovery. He’ll fight to hold traffickers, dealers, and bad actors accountable to the fullest extent of the law. If you're poisoning our kids and cashing in on suffering, you're part of the problem and there will be consequences.
1st quotes from wikipedia, 2nd quote from their own campaign sites.
Candidates matter.
I'd have voted for the Democrat, I'd also have a beer with him.

Maybe Rehmet is a Trojan horse! He is masquerading as a Dem and will be our usurper from within!

Hopes and prayers man!
I looked at his site, if he's a Democrat, he's an old school pre 2008 Democrat.

Political Earthquake is the new buzzword for the leftards
Voter fraud has become that for conservatives.
Even Rasmussen thinks the conservatives are tanking in favorability, so the ground truth for conservatives is probably pretty bad and this result is just an indicator that the polling isn't far off.

Low turnout
This will happen in midterms too. People arent switching to vote D, they’re just staying home because they’re apathetic and realize it doesn’t fricking matter
Voters gave Trump and Republicans a clear mandate in 2024 and they’ve failed to deliver results. Many republicans have even actively worked against that mandate. Why vote for them? I won’t be. I’ll be staying home in November. frick all of them

A few things are likely at play:
1. Low turnout. If this is the case AND the Dems pushed turnout (the non-cheating version), it's possible.
2. The more populated an area gets, the more blue it gets. Population density fosters more and more inter-dependency. Progressives are generally highly inter-dependent on one another whereas conservatives are more of the self-supportive mindset.
3. What's been the influx level of progressives from the NE and west coasts to the area?

Reminds me of The Simpsons when Bart runs for Class President and he doesn’t even vote for himself.

This is a mistake. Even if it’s true that Trump hasn’t accomplished his mandate, it’s still true that we are a lot better off than if we elected Kamala and the dems. Trump HAS…
- shut down the border
- worked hard on deportations
- cut taxes
- made our allies start to pay their share of defense
- tariffed nations that have had unfair trade agreements with us
- virtually ended woke
The American system was designed to resist dramatic change unless the people signal their desire for it through at least six straight years of elections.

Are there any organizations actually watching the elections and verifying the counts?
Posted on 2/1/26 at 12:42 pm to sgallo3
Not necessarily fraud, although fraud would make more of a difference in a low turnout election (which this definitely is).
Low turnout elections are not good for the current Republican party.

I 100% agree with you Gallo and shocked at all the downvotes.
To believe public opinion shifts so quickly from Conservatism to Dem/Marxism so fluidly and based on the flimsiest of reasons is patently absurd.
Obama gave us 8 years of 9% unemployment and told us it was the new normal
Biden gave us runaway inflation just a year ago… and “experts” would have us believe there is a changing sentiment away from Trump after he’s made life better and less expensive for all of us?!?
It’s all bullshite, and I’m shocked people on this board don’t see it.

As a moderate Independent, I will pick a moderate candidate over an extreme right Republican or left Democrat. Unfortunately, moderates in either party normally have difficulty winning their party primaries, but when they do, they normally fare well in general elections. I think this election provides a playbook for Democrats to upend Texas' gerrymandering initiative in formerly uncontested Republican districts. By running Democratic moderates against Trump supported Republicans, there is a high likelihood of flipping numerous districts...the Trump factor has run its course and is likely a liability rather than a positive in general elections. We'll see in a few months.

Voter fraud? Or just folks not caring about the state of our present day politics?
And all the dems that have moved their from blue states?
Probably a combination of both

We could end doubts about elections today. The only party stopping it are Democrats. There would be no more complaints. Basic security measures should be in place starting with voter ID.
