If he was doing coke, then he lied in his statement.
No, as a lawyer he used language that most would interpret as something different then it truly says.
That statement has a lot of wiggle room. He says drugs that have no medical use. According to the DEA cocaine is a schedule 2 drug which means it can be used in certain medical settings.

How old was the person? I heard 17 and while that is young it's not something unheard of. Definitely knew of 17 y/o's with older guys so nothing weird to me if that was the case.
Based upon that document the 17 year old was put up by an inmate named Goldberg to make this claim so he would get a reduced sentence. So I would say that it highly questionable if the sex occurred.

You are the one bringing it up and talking about eating arse.
I personally don’t buy this bs because it would be a crime. Not some bullshite ethics violation.

She advertised herself on some kind of "Call me for a good time" webpage as being 18.
Again, this sounds like an intelligence committee honeypot for new congressional members.
That said, a newly elected 35 year old rep going to a party and trying to or actually banging a 17 year old is gross and shows questionable judgement. Hopefully he was just caught up in the moment and has matured since then. At least he wasn’t married at the time.

Or, and hear me out on this, he didn’t do it.

It’s pretty clear why they are investigating him and the DOJ dropped this case themselves. They couldn’t make anything stick. Your going to need to find a new angle to go after Gaetz.

boozibad arse and sfp cut from the same cloth. That aside, this topic will provide the justification for releasing the Epstein / Diddy documentation

He might not have banged her but there’s enough legal bullshite in that letter to infer he was at minimum smoking weed and maybe taking pills at parties when he first got to DC. Seems like a stupid thing to do when you get to DC because it’s a very very easy way to compromise and blackmail young reps before they even get started in their political career.

I understood him to admit to smoking weed where it was decriminalized.

How can it be political if Gaetz was being investigated by the Republican-led House Ethics Committee? The beef against Gaetz might be over Gaetz’s opposition to funding wars.
This article is worth a read to understand what might really be motivating Republicans to go after another Republican, especially after a criminal investigation has been declined.
------------------
"There is the question of why Gaetz has been such a focus.
Since at least 2019, Gaetz has set himself apart in advocating for a hardline position of foreign policy restraint, making him a standout in a Trumpian fray that has countenanced hawkish and even neoconservative elements.
"Congressman David Joyce (R-OH) is a member of the House Ethics Committee, which is probing Gaetz. The American Conservative found financial disclosures that reveal Rep. Joyce’s campaign and his leadership PAC donated a combined $7,000 to Gaetz’s primary challenger, Aaron Dimmock.
For his part, Gaetz told TAC: “It is no surprise to see Mr. Joyce, a stock-trading member of the ethics committee, funding my opponent. The ethics committee was hand picked by McCarthy and they will do his bidding in elections and in their witch hunt coming after me.”
There is evidence here of a $2,000 transaction from Friends of Dave Joyce (his campaign committee) and then $5,000 from Defending American Values Everywhere PAC (DAVE PAC)—his leadership committee.
Joyce was a prime advocate of the contentious foreign military aid packages to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan that passed out in the Spring.
“Today was not only a vote to support our allies when they need it the most, but also a vote to protect America’s national security. China, Russia and Iran are anti-American regimes that have no intent of stopping their aggressions with our allies. They also pose a strong and dangerous threat to Americans here at home,” Joyce said. “This package provides the critical funding necessary for Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan to defend their freedom. Something every American should stand for.”
For what it’s worth, Gaetz voted against all three of those packages."
