I tried the current version of Starlink on a flight out in Nevada last month. Cool as shite! It was free too! (for now)

We got it out of necessity. Even with a small summer tree obstruction, it is flawless. They recently ran spectrum fiber up here. Royally messed up the side of our road, put big ugly assed boxes all down it, and left half of them all messed up. F Spectrum. I’m sticking with what works.
I’m at 106mbps right now. More than enough for what we do.

I’ve got the mini bracketed to the top of my Land Cruiser and love it. I’ve used it way out in the boonies to great results.

I have Starlink and love it. I have no idea what fiber speeds means though but I will not say no (unless it costs a f**k ton).

I have 1 gigabit upload/download via fiber. If I were willing to pay for it, I can get 2gig or 5gig.

Good news would be them cutting the price in half. It's already faster and more powerful than we need. Howabout the same speed for $60/mo instead of $120?

I was one of the first in central Texas to get. Good service but pricey

I have them in MS. They are great. If they are upgrading the speed then it will rival cable.

A better question, will it bypass state mandated age verification in states that have passed ID verification laws to access p0rn?

Asking for a friend…

When I built a home in North Carolina I had to wait six months for Spectrum. It was such an unprofessional joke. Mind you I was on a lot of property in the middle of the woods with a very long driveway...

They had subcontractors of subcontractors and after 6 months a truck of Mexican showed. Then I had to wait for the next subcontractors to run the cable. Then another subcontractor to put up the cable box.

Then after a few months Spectrum jacked their prices up sky high. They knew they had a monopoly. I moved out of state and Was stuck with spectrum. Before I had cameras or security Up Mexicans sprayed poison on beautiful privacy trees and bushes because it was a little bit near their cable line I will never use spectrum again for any reason.

Since moving out of state I discovered T mobile Internet and Wi-fi. It's great.

I got Starlink for my camper last year when they cut the price for the satellite in half. It's one of the few products I use that's designed so well that I can't find anything of significance that needs improvement. The interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate with no extra mess. The satellite connects quickly and easily, getting it aligned is ridiculously easy.
Companies should take note of what Elon and his companies are doing. There's a reason why they are all so successful.

I used Starlink since beta, out of necessity. Live on a mountain with DSL or SL as the only option. We recently got fiber up the road and switched because its 3x the speed and 1/2 the price. Starlink offered half the rate after I cancelled which would be comparable pricewise, but hey why was that not the rate from the start?

I went through 3 dishes because hail x SL dish works out in mother natures favor. Overall I was pretty satisfied with the service, besides the 3-4 weeks it took to get replacement dishes. If it is the best option then I would have no problem staying with SL.

Spectrum acted like a bunch of shitheads nearly 24 years ago when I bought the 2nd house in a new section of an existing neighborhood. Had set-top boxes installed, a cable running from the street to the house, everything...except a signal. They refused to turn it on for the first month I lived in that house then when they wouldn't promise me a date for having a signal after that month I told them to pick their shite up and I had Dish 2 days later.

Told the guy selling Spectrum at Kroger the other day that I'd never do business with that company ever and why. It's an easy way to get those guys to STFU. And I'm really good at holding a grudge. Terrible company.

Currently pulling 350mbps download and 284mbps upload on basic AT&T Fiber. More than enough for our needs.
