"Renee Good's family is accusing federal immigration officers of killing the Minneapolis mother of three as she attempted to follow agents’ instructions, and said Wednesday they have hired the same law firm that represented George Floyd ’s family to press for answers and accountability.

Her loved ones said in a statement they want Good, 37, remembered as “an agent of peace” and urged the public not to use her death as a political flashpoint, according to the Chicago-based firm Romanucci & Blandin. The firm said it is investigating Good’s death and will release information in the coming weeks.

The family’s decision to hire the firm came the same week the U.S. Justice Department said it sees no basis to open a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting. An FBI probe of Renee Good’s death is ongoing.

Roughly half a dozen federal prosecutors in Minnesota resigned this week, and several supervisors in the criminal section of the Civil Rights Division in Washington gave notice of their departures, according to people familiar with the matter."

Pretty ballsy to claim that she was trying to follow orders when she was shot. You never know with a Minnesota jury, though (see Derek Chauvin).

The officer should counter-sue her family and estate. Her actions were clearly harmful and caused the officer material and emotional harm.

I’m sure the GoFundMe coffers will be swollen for Team Good by the time the lawsuit is settled.

Excellent point. The civil case will almost certainly be settled. Because of the problems for the plaintiffs, I don't think the settlement will be astronomical.

Good luck with that. It won’t work this time. Officer shooting was justified, Simple as that. She was out there looking for trouble and found it. Tough.

Mark my words. There will be a multimillion dollar settlement with the family. Totally not justified at all. Get those people off the streets, round up every illegal, and get them out of the country!

Anything to not take accountability for the fact that she was an absolute dumbass who shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

Could be, but the US is going to be the primary defendant. I don't see Trump's DOJ rolling over on this.

It seems more likely that the law firm sought-out the family.

Gotta love the way The Narrative is painting this picture of a June Cleaver-type getting gunned down while innocently on her way to pick up freezy-pops for the kiddos.

That's a gigantic lie in the very first sentence. She was not ordered to drive off. She was ordered to get out of the vehicle.

Had she complied, she would be alive along with the dozens of other 'protestors' on the scene who went home unharmed. At the very worst, she would have been arrested and charged with obstruction, but in all likelihood the charges would have been dropped by the local DA, so no harm no foul.

You can always find a long line of whores (lawyers) to take cases like these.

Which family?

Dad's on video saying it's not the officer's fault.
