got any data to support that? of course you don’t
You are showing your ignorance.
Tesla was on the verge of bankruptcy numerous times and would have gone out of business years ago if not for EV Tax Credits.
Why is a company with a Trillion Dollar market cap still getting government tax credits to support their business ?

Please say Tesla is the only EV maker that has benefited by tax credits.
Here’s your chance.

Doge doesn't eliminate anything.

I believe Musk has stated in an interview quite a long time ago he was against them and said the other manufacturers pushed for them. I imagine they pushed for it bc govt was putting hand on scale saying they wanted them to shift consumer demand like govt was mandating, especially California. I think Musk knew if you drive a Tesla, your sold. I drove one and didn't have money in that range to buy a Tesla S but grabbed $1500 in the stock after driving one and it's worth $50k now. Kick myself thats all I had in trading account at that time was $1500 not allocated

Wow, you're really stupid aren't you ?
Those are tax dollars that were owed & then forgiven for the purchase of a Tesla.
The tax dollars were OWED and then forgiven. The treasury never physically had the money to spend. Tax credits are not spending. It's decreasing revenue. Giving someone a tax credit isn't paying Tesla money from the treasury.

Why are you against Americans getting tax breaks? If we've learned anything the last few weeks, it's that we are getting robbed by the government
Why shouldn’t we all get the same tax breaks for vehicle not just EV owners.

DOGE has one power and one job, to find inefficiencies and report them.
This nonsense that they have the power to remove, fire, replace, end, create is nonsense. They are auditors - auditing.
The left is doing a great job indoctrinating the weak minded into thinking they are shutting down departments. Only the President and Congress can do that.

I'm tired of the government wasting my tax dollars to purchase Tesla's for people that want to drive glorified golf carts. Tesla has been around for a few decades now. If they can't stand on their own two feet by now then maybe they should just go out of business.
Are you not aware of the $400MM Tesla contract DOGE recommended cancelling?

Elon Musk is against the tax credits. They empower and prop up his lower quality competitors, where if everyone had to survive without the tax credits, Tesla would win in the open market.
This is not a gotcha by any means.

I know you are a liberal troll but I also agree with you, and I think it would be a great show of objectivity and transparency for DOGE to cut some things that are Elon related. I think the EV tax credit is a great place to start. But as others have already pointed out, DOGE doesn't actually cut anything. They call out waste, then the other departments choose what to cut and how to cut it.

Look, I know you're probably some O+G baw and hate EV's but I hate to tell you this.
Tesla isn't going anywhere.
They're here forever.

Say dawg, which sub sent you here?

Oh to be this stupid. Credits are not tax dollars sent from Washington. You think GM, Honda, Toyota, etc etc are going let these tax credits disappear after the government mandated cafe standards they have imposed on the car manufactures? They cannot move these EV's with the credit. Ask Ford what their quarters have been like since being forced to manufacture a certain number of lightning trucks because of how many gas and diesel trucks they sell.
