Obviously there are lots of black people in that blue swath across the state ,but I mean there's large pockets of black people in every southeastern state that don't go full on blue county like we see in the OP map.
Is there something more to it than simply "lots of blacks live there"?

Oklahoma once again leading the charge.

Colorado's blue looks like Bart Simpson trying to run and a hand is grabbing him from leaving. I'm not even drinking either, just like looks for shapes in things.

This is why when the Electoral College went to "Winner takes all" it was a big win for the left.
Electoral votes should be by districts and not winner take all.
This is also the reason for the Electoral College. We cant let them alter it at all.

the land isn't voting.
the collection of people living on that land does.
this country was founded as 13 different collections of people, not as 1 single collection (we have since expanded to 50 different collections of people, obviously).
each collection of people gets a set number of votes based on population of that collection.

This nation is conservative at heart. Unfortunately, the most populated areas are the loudest and most hateful, un-American ones.
That graph shows we still have the heart and desire for true American values.

Are Oklahoma and West Virginia the only ones all red?

Never thought I’d see Texas that red again. It’s beautiful. This election shows it’s less about race, gender, and even wealth. It’s about whether you buy into cosmopolitan elitism or not. That’s all “liberalism” is anymore.
tarrant county is the 15th largest in the country and broke red

Some of these blue counties I really don't understand. Like the rural blue counties in northeast Minnesota.

I just love that their whole “na na na na na we’re going import Mexicans to turn your state blue and there’s nothing you can do about it” thing backfired as massively as it did.

Iberville went red for the first time since Nixon in 1972.

ETA: what I did notice was that Lincoln parish went for Trump. I'm not an expert on the area, but I know that's where Grambling is, and I've driven through Grambling a few times, it's depressing. I really would have thought it would have been blue.
If you’re not familiar with the area, you may not realize that Ruston is also in Lincoln Parish (just a very few miles from Grambling, in fact). Between the permanent residents and the LA Tech student body, you’re looking at a comparatively much more conservative/Republican demographic that outnumbers the combined population of Grambling U and Grambling proper by at least a 3:1 margin.

Lay-off and/or move a bunch of Federal workers out of DC and we might turn Virginia red. Cut off a bunch of Federal funding to RTP and lock down NC.
