Deporting people will drive renting costs down.

1. Promote policies that stimulate the economy 2. Remove upward pressure on housing prices by removing illegals from the country who are getting government bennies for subsidized housing, forcing up prices.

Additionally, reduce material costs by lowering fuel and shipping costs. If inflation can ever be dialed in that will help too. Not to mention interest rates for home loans

You saying that illegals are making so much money that they can afford to buy houses which is driving up prices?

I’m not seeing this anywhere.

This is definitely not happening in the nicer parts of Atlanta where there is high demand for housing.

Even if the illegals are renting, it’s driving up the price of the houses. If a house worth 100k now it’s worth 200k cause a slum lord will buy it and pack it full of 10 illegals instead of a 5 person young family buying it.

Anything outside of removing restrictions to increase housing supply

And those restrictions are worst in blue states. It takes years to get permission from all the agencies in Calif to even start building. You gotta hire people to do all that paperwork before a board gets nailed.

These were artificially low for years.

More demand = higher prices for rental homes and apartments

More people creates more demand, therefore a supply issue is created on the rental market, which in turn, causes prices to skyrocket. In addition, people are more wiling to rent out their home instead of putting it on the market. This creates a supply issue for home sales.. therefore, the prices skyrocket..

If you give a pig a pancake, he'll probably want some syrup to go with it..

Sending illegals home will change the demand on housing as you will have more inventory to people searching.

Restrictions on missing-middle housing (i.e. duplexes, triplexes, condos, and townhomes) also need to go away. Many cities have a lot of this housing grandfathered in before areas were down-zoned to single-family homes only.

Restricting large Corporations from buying thousands of homes might have an impact.

Reducing regulations on the timber industry and other building materials
Lowering energy costs which reduces manufacturing and interstate commerce costs to move materials
Reducing taxes

These 3 will make a significant difference

Boot illegals back to their homeland, that will free up a ton of rental properties and landlords will be forced to lower rents.

Short term-interest rate deductions, wealth creation, decreasing inflation and tax cuts.

Long term, after Trump in coming decades we need a Elon-like affordable home automation movement. If we figure out how to reduce costs for shelter we beat the crap out of every other country and free up trillions in discretionary spending.

Something has to be done with Insurance prices and interest rates. Some of it is supply and demand and also material prices, which Trump can help with.

the cost of building or renovating a home has absolutely skyrocketed since the COVID sham.

This. Illegals (in general) are competing with citizens lower on the socioeconomic totem pole for housing. Deporting them will help the people in our country that need it the most.
