If you taken. Economics in school and learned about supply/demand, you wouldn't have to ask.

Leads to higher housing costs.

Regulations are hidden taxes.
Indeed.
Most housing regs are designed to keep property values high. frick that.
If you dont like what your neighbor is doing with their land, buy it.
Let people put tiny homes, etc on property they own.

Urban life pods for Democrats. A national movement to build the Tiny Homes they so idealize near the heroin needle distribution and sexual reassignment and abortion centers they gravitate to.

1. Promote policies that stimulate the economy
2. Remove upward pressure on housing prices by removing illegals from the country who are getting government bennies for subsidized housing, forcing up prices.

He's going to give out $25K for a down payment for new homeowners.

Deporting hundreds of thousands to millions of people would instantly cause prices to drop by decreasing demand.

how many buying houses
Doesn't matter. It strains overall housing supply.

Give 20 million illegals the boot. That’ll create some vacancies.
As long as they don’t deport my yard people and house keeper… lol
And I hardly think the illegals are buying up enough homes to drive prices
At least that’s not happening around me.
And the rents they pay are on the low end of the scale

I know more about supply and demand than you realize and probably more than you.
Are you suggesting that to being down home prices, we up the suppy, drop the demand or both?

I feel like this board wants to drop demand more than increase supply.

Drill baby drill. Lower energy costs will lower costs all through the economy. Lower costs (building materials) = lower inflation = lower interest rates.
Also a better economic outlook should invigorate hiring. More demand for employees should raise wages.
All this is IMO.

get the govt out of the mortgage business.

How many illegals are buying homes?
Enough that every national bank has policies that make provisions for illegals qualifying for home loans. They even get preferential terms.

"Drill baby drill" will lower energy costs which will also greatly lower building costs. Lower building costs translates to more and cheaper new homes, which also drives the overall market cost down.
It's a lot of little things that are simple enough to carry out, but affect the big picture in perfect symbiosis. It all centers around energy.

The easiest answer is to get Wall Street out of the single family home ownership business.
Posted on 11/12/24 at 1:28 pm to SlidellCajun
1. Ban groups like blackrock from buying single family homes as investments
2. Remove illegals that are taking up affordable housing from citizens because govt is subsidizing them and paying top dollar to house them

If 12 million less people are looking for a place to live then the supply will go up. With less demand and more supply prices will go down. Did I explain it simply enough for you.

Mmmm
Not gonna happen but even if it did, I think housing prices could crash as mortgage rates could skyrocket
