With AI it’s going to be really hard what to tell is real and fake in this conflict. You don’t think Palantir is trying to sway public opinion right this second?

Cause you, and I, are bigger enemies to that poster, and it's ilk, than islamist Iranians.

You're getting a lot of play out of 1 successful hit, in a residential neighborhood. I get that's your favorite target, but

Also, Iran’s ballistic missiles can carry between 750kg to 1500 kg depending on the model launched.

An F-35 can carry 8160kg internally (stealth mode). However it is likely carrying more fuel for the distance. Either way, one F-35 carrying multiple times the explosive power of 1 ballistic missile, of which 2-4 have gotten through. One F-35 mission has node more then that and there have need hundreds of successful missions over Iran

Throw in that the Iranian missiles appear to be targeting civilian population areas…..

But I don't think for a second that Iran was close to having a nuclear weapon

I’m curious about the information that led you to such a conclusion.

And why yours is better than those used by our decision makers to include claims by Iranian officials such as in July of 2022, when Kamal Kharrazi, an adviser to Khamenei, stated Iran has the "technical means to produce a nuclear bomb". And in August of 2024, when Ahmad Ardestani claimed Iran had "obtained nuclear weapons".

They are not merely “an enemy”. They have been designated as state sponsors of terrorism for the past 40 years - a designation that has held over 7 different Presidential philosophies, demonstrating the one thing all US administrations have agreed on.

Is this proxy war an attempt to detonate these bombs? Or something else?

I’m not being a smart arse but if they already have nuclear weapons, wouldn’t attacking them only cause them to use teh nuclear weapons?

ETA: no one can respond? It’s a genuine question.

Lots of Arab reports that Iranian leadership that are left are fleeing the country in private jets to Russia to hang out with Assad.

That all being true. The entire Iraq war was initiated because shrub was pissed about the attempted assassination of his father. Those were just otherwise excuses.

A Republican president wanted to go to war, so the entire intelligence community and 98% of democrats willingly participated in the deception in order to foment war? I think it is much more realistic to believe that war could never have happened without the dozens to hundreds of steps taken by Saddam and Iraq to make it happen.

Maybe. I choose to believe that the American people are not cool with paying bounties for dead American soldiers, and firing missiles at our aircraft in the agreed upon no fly zone. If I were president, we would have bombed the dogshit out of them and left. Let them rebuild their own nation with the knowledge that if they FA again, we will be back to kill the shite out of them.

The facility isn’t going to do them any good if many of the scientists who knew how to make it work have assumed room temperature, no?
