So Trump is nothing more than Rush Limbaugh? We tune in to hear his takes on all issues as they apply to what interests us? Cultural or political?

Some wrinkle in the culture? Get Trump to take it on.

Hey, don't like the Vikings having male dancer cheerleaders? Don't watch the Vikings when they come on, it's as simple as that. The Vikings can deal with the fallout from their fans, if there is any fallout. I suspect the biggest concern right now is whether JJ McCarthy is the answer at QB.

Hey, fig... The President, who represents the people, voicing his opinion on the liberal woke disgusting bullshite the NFL is promoting, wouldn't be something unprecedented or out of the norm for any President. When did I say he needed to use the government's iron fist to shut down the NFL? You fricking douche bag.

I really dont understand why anyone cares if there are some gay male cheerleaders. No need to engage in cancel culture.

Personally think Presidents should stay out of issues like this. It's private entities having to face market forces. Did not like it when Obama was "enouraging" player activism.

If they are fans, like W was of baseball and likes the games that is one thing, but getting involved in amplifying mundane insignificant issues is.....breath the office and the things of 14 tear old 9th grade girls

In the last 10 years the NFL has introduced male cheerleaders, female refs, kneeling during the anthem, end racism logo in end zones, and non stop commercials telling how bad we all are. I’ll still watch a game here and there that has some former LSU players, but I’m not going out of my way to watch anymore.

he franchises have never held non-profit statuses; the main office was a 501(c)(6) until 2015. Since then the NFL has been a for-profit trade association which collects and distributes revenues (ex: $20.33B in 2024) to teams, which are taxed as businesses.

Wait until OP learns about all of these business owners that own S-Corps to avoid corporate taxes

Its more fun for them to virtue signal on a message board. I doubt they have the willpower to stop watching

NFL has gone woke many years ago and yet those who hate woke still support the NFL. Haven’t been to or seen an NFL game in many years. They turned me off when they would kneel while the star spangled banner was being played. For the rest of my life, I will never watch another NFL game

It’s possible to hate woke and the NFL but still love the game.

Why would the NFL have a non-profit status?
The NFL is a member owned entity, sort of like a credit union. The individual members (teams) are taxed.

I believe that's the basis the courts used to determine the NFL's (and Major League baseball's) tax status.

Are you really that fricking retarded? You think Trump would be the first President to weigh in with his opinion on current events? Especially events and issues that certain Presidents campaigned on and have a political stake in?

fricking libtard nerd.

From Grok: The NFL does not receive direct federal funding for its operations, as it primarily relies on private revenue from sources like television contracts, sponsorships, merchandise, and ticket sales. However, it indirectly benefits from public funds through stadium subsidies and tax incentives. Since 2000, over $4.3 billion in public funds, including federal tax-exempt municipal bonds, have supported NFL stadium construction and renovations, with examples like MetLife Stadium receiving $1.6 billion in public support. These bonds, enabled by a loophole in the 1986 Tax Reform Act, reduce financing costs for teams but cost taxpayers significantly, with estimates of $3.2 billion to $3.7 billion in federal subsidies since 2000. Additionally, the NFL Foundation’s Grassroots Program provides grants up to $250,000 for community football field improvements, often in low-income areas, but these are not direct operational funds. Critics argue these subsidies divert public resources from essential services, while proponents claim they boost local economies, though evidence of significant economic benefits is limited.

the NFL is not a non profit organization.

Also they are private company and private organizations, they can do whatever they want. You don't have to support or watch it. You know free market.
