I couldn’t tell you a single song by Kendrick Lamar, but I’d heard his name several times and knew he was a rapper. I had never heard of this guy. I’m really starting to feel this guy is a psyop designed to see if people are really gullible enough to just follow anyone if they are told to.

Exhibit A. ^^^^

But wait Sally, you dont get it, its part of the NFL global strategy its why they have played games outside the US. Its a great strategy, neglect the 95% of your core audience, naw not neglect, insult them it will work.

Did we introduce you to our new Marketing head, she did wonders with the bud light brand..........

It's interesting how BB is so popular but literally nobody, save a few souls on this board, even knew much of who BB is or any of his songs.

Actually, even many of the people on this board lauding BB's talent and popularity have admitted to not being familiar with his catalog.

I wonder if it was mere coincidence that Dumb Bunny was awarded all that Grammy hardware right before his Super Bowl Halftime Show......I just wonder.

Most of the shite the Democratic Socialist put on display for public consumption is orchestrated and well rehearsed theater.

Should fire his joke writers. I didn’t know telling people to get vaccinated was a joke.

Bad Bunny sounded like generic Latin music.

Good, but nothing special.

I listened to a number of his songs at one point just to see what the music was like a few months back. I expected to like some of his songs even knowing I couldn't understand them. I thought the music was bad. Like really bad. It didn't even sound catchy to me like a lot of Latin music. I don't get it. And when I read the translations of his lyrics, they seemed like something a 5th grader would write.

I don't get it.

To fair here you are right. Everything that exists is mass.

Or did you mean in church?

HIs sales and popularity are mostly from people who don't speak English, so it's a bit deceptive. It's like chiding someone for not knowing or acknowledging an artist who's really popular in Mexico or Japan.

To me, boomer shitlib John Mellencamp perfectly summarized the left's position on Bad Bunny. I’m unsure what this is, but someone told me I should like it, and I find it difficult to form my own opinion, so I like it.

My favorite part of this mini drama. They went beyond lauding. According to some here, you're a cave dwelling backwoods moron if you don't believe in his ubiquitous presence and fame.

It's all so very apparently contrived.

I thought the sets and choreography were nice. Bad Bunny just has zero charisma, imo. His voice is very monotonous and dull.

I just completely understand why a bunch of 40-70 year olds wouldn’t know about a latin pop singer. The only reason I know who he is is that I spend way too much time in bars with social media addicted zoomers in their lower twenties. You know, that and him playing a minor role in the Shakira/J-Lo halftime show.

Let’s be honest, if an artist isn’t played on classic rock fm radio, this board isn’t likely to have many posters familiar with them. Did your grandparents in the 70’s have any clue who The Ramones were?

That's fine.

But the debate is whether a guy who is not overly popular in the US should be the performer at the US's biggest sporting/TV event?

Sure, from the NFL's standpoint it makes sense if it is trying to gain a larger audience outside of the US. But I can understand US fans feeling like this is the US's premiere sporting event and the HT entertainment is a guy signing in a language the overwhelming majority of the US viewers don't understand.

Just goes to show how ridiculous politics really is….all a bunch of sheep blindly following their chosen leader even when it is not in their best interest….

Comedians are the only ones that are not afraid to point this kind of thing out!

That tells you how many illegals are here in the US. We are drowning in the scum.

Hell the players are well under 40 and didn't know him.

It makes complete sense to me that this dude would be famous outside of America, with some domestic following from Spanish speakers and audiophiles who are just hip wit it.

The crowd during his show was like 50 Latinas getting down and 80k people just standing there like they were at a lecture.

good lord.

it was the SUPERBOWL, which, once upon a time at least, was the most American of American "cultural focus"

that's the entire point, which you are somehow missing

Your friendly reminder that it is Jay Z, pal of both Diddy and Epstein, who picks the Super Bowl entertainment.

I only became familiar with him after Tony Hinchcliff made the PR is garbage comment at the MSG rally.
