No, because you started the exact same thread already a few days ago.

I've noticed something the last 7-10 days.

GumboPac is absolutely dumping tons of ad buys going after both Rispone and Doc

I really thought they would just sit on their cash, let those two duke it out for the second spot, and then come runoff time, go apeshit against whoever the GOP person is.

With them going apeshit now, it makes me wonder if their internal polling is telling them that the only chance JBE has, is if it wins it in the primary.

In a 3 man primary, they can probably deflect off of JBE's record.

In a runoff, they won't be able to do that. And you are going to have a tsunami of money coming in for the GOP candidate.

What's your thoughts here?

Lovely. The state employee who sucks the tit off of us taxpayers is campaigning for his liberal savior that is losing jobs for us.

Repeated promotional posts for a political candidate is usually considered spamming - although I'm not sure abt TD.

If it is ok on this board, then welcome to daily Abraham and Rispone promotional posts!

This is it. I have heard of it. Classic truck nut envy. Next thing you know, he's going to get a New Iberia haircut on his min wage state paycheck.

Bless your little heart.

I noticed two things, Edwards initial commercial was to introduce himself to the public (son of a sheriff, grandson of s sheriff, etc.) and I thought that odd for an incumbent governor. It also made me think they are worried about his prison reforms coming back to bite him.

Second, I was surprised how early they went negative(Gumbo PAC ads). That made me think they were trying for a knock out early to discourage Republicans and conservatives and they would stay home.

To combat this I believe Rispone and Abraham need to sharpen their own attacks and rude along with the Republican ads about Edwards lying about not planning to raise taxes, get their base fired up.

Rispone and Abraham have introduced themselves, now they need to go hard after Edwards in the issues.

The fact they put out a sloppy ad against Rispone where they took allegations from a lawsuit and peddled it as mere fact and then was forced to take it down was so telling.

GumboPac was never that sloppy in 2015.

Here's another few signs.

Abraham has endorsements from several sheriffs throughout the state and I may be wrong but I don't recall Vitter getting any endorsements from any Sheriffs at all in 2015. JBE may get the endorsement from the Assoc after all but it's more contested this time around.

Abraham also has Boysie Bollinger on his fundraising committee who supported JBE in 2015. PSC and sexy surgeon Craig Greene also supported JBE in 2015 and is supporting Abraham as well.

Abraham also has an endorsement from the Jefferson Parish GOP executive committee and that was a big deal as I also recall Vitter not being able to land that as well.

Abraham has endorsements from pretty close to 150 endorsements from elected officials throughout Louisiana and that's nothing to scoff at.

Right.

Hail likes to talk about having sources in the LA GOP.

Well, two can play that game and I've been told by someone high up there as well that Trump is definitely coming to town to do a rally for the GOP candidate. It's a tad bit tentative being two months out but it's more 90% more likely than not.

And I live within a 40 mile range from Baton Rouge, not California.

That's going to be another wrinkle for JBE to try and figure out how to water down any Trump boost for the GOP candidate.

The North Louisiana Protestants won’t be in his corner this time.

He faces an uphill battle, especially with the embarrassing data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics last week that showed Louisiana as the only state in the Union with negative job growth last year.

That was heavily circulated and a lot of people saw that.

Lifelong conservative Republican here. Called Trump Presidency 15 months out and made a tidy sum from the folks over at PredictIt.org.

Not sure why, but I'm seeing either a JBE 50.1% nailbiter in the primary or a close JBE win in the runoff. Result won't really fit the State's demographics, but that's what this old telephone man is seeing. Hope I'm wrong.
