He was lucky that the accident happened on a small bypass road and on snow — the car ahead was only thrown to the side by the impact. If the crash had occurred on a busy major highway, a tragedy would have been unavoidable.
Alexander Volosov is a Russian Major General, one of Sergei Shoigu’s closest associates from his time at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where he served as First Deputy Minister. After Shoigu’s transfer to the Ministry of Defense, Volosov headed Russia’s Spetsstroy in 2016–2017.
