I’ve always been shocked flying into DCA and how close it is to everything… can easily see a helicopter entering the approach airspace.

That kind of response isn't typical of an aircraft crash, that's an insane amount of emergency vehicles.

DCA should be closed. Not a pilot, but the kind of effort they have to go through to land and take off here because of the proximity to the government is crazy. Been on many aborted landings here, not a good feeling. Super convenient to D.C. but......
