I wish I knew of a place to purchase pro-Russia and pro-Putin bumper stickers and clothing. Time to get the message out and encourage more American patriots to embrace our conservative cultural ally.

David Duke probably wrote it for whoever put it out there.

Of course this would be a hit on the political board.

This is what I really hate about politics. I'm personally a very conservative person, but I have no desires to try to dictate what other do. Most people are like that, until it comes to politics, because there are rulers dictating what everyone can do, and they're selling that power, and this makes ordinary people foaming-at-the-mouth-crazy violent and hateful.

Common sense, like common stock, is not as valuable as preferred sense would be. Common sense is, well, common.

It wasn't at all unusual to hear similar rhetoric from politicians in this nation prior to the 1950's....hell in Atlanta when I was a kid JB Stoner would run for every public office that came open on the exact same platform and he would use all sorts of vile racial epitaths. I think he eventually wound up in prison for being involved with the church bombings that killed 4 young girls in Birmingham, Alabama. I can remember hearing family members talk about Stoner like he was a font of wisdom and common sense....

This quote is from that of Vladimir Putin on the floor of the state Duma (congress) a few years ago. I think it may be from 2012.

Love me some Putin. Man crush.

What are the customs and traditions of America? Do we count burritos and tacos? Are they American? Do we go back to the cultural and customs of Massachusetts Bay Colony and Jamestown and the 1600s in the Chesapeake?

What about lasagna? Is that American? What about the customs and traditions of black people who have been in America since the 1640s?

Is Calvinistic Protestantism and the Church of England the only acceptable religions in America since that was the customs and traditions of the earliest settlers? Or do we count Catholicism since Maryland was founded as a Catholic colony?

Is Chinese food allowed since the Chinese only came to the US in the 1800s? What about Spanish customs? Spanish Colonists were in New Mexico in the late 1600s? What about French customs? The French were in Michigan.

Spanish, French and Dutch were spoken in America before or at the same time of English.

Once you come up with a list of approved American customs and culture then we can talk.

Funny that you mention burritos & tacos as I was just reading an article recently that claims salsa sales have outstripped (or at least approached )ketchup sales & tortillas have outstripped Hot dog buns & potato chips.

Like Pizza one day tacos, burritos ,nachos, salsa,etc.... will be as "American" as that slice of (Italian) Pizza .

That's the beauty of America that Xenophobes refuse to appreciate/understand.

Putin was in the KGB and a member of the Communist Party of the of the Soviet Union. He called the end of the USSR a great geopolitical tragedy. The USSR was a pretty culturally conservative place. Western music and ideas were strictly censored and Soviet art and ideas were promoted which is conservative in a cultural way.

As a socialist I have to admit I find your admiration of Putin kind of cool in a way.

''Anyone who doesn't regret the passing of the Soviet Union has no heart. Anyone who wants it restored has no brains.''

''History proves that all dictatorships, all authoritarian forms of government are transient. Only democratic systems are not transient. Whatever the shortcomings, mankind has not devised anything superior.''

-Vladimir Putin

You're probably one of those that read about the Soviet Union and Russia in books. Oh yeah putin is a socialist, and Russia is socialist. I have actually been all over the former Soviet Union, and I can tell you Russia and Putin are one of the most conservative places on earth. The United States is no where close to the conservatism of Russia.

9% flat income tax rate
9% corporate tax rate
No food stamps
No government housing
The only people taken care of in Russia are those that are mentally retarded or old

Is it overwhelmingly mexican Ralph? If we let a lot of them in and American culture becomes more mexican, will it therefore be more American? I think you know the answer.

While some of you are giving Putin mad props for some reason, this is a very dangerous way of thinking. Countries survive by developing good working relations with their neighbors. By isolating so many people in his own country, and this neighboring countries, he's just creating more hostility. Compassion is the biggest thing this world needs, and Putin certainly isn't helping with that. I know he seems "cool" but he's a complete idiot. I think most people outside of Russia know this
