Amazon overpaid by about $20 million for this documentary that won't make any money besides the seats they buy themselves. It definitely wasn't a bribe to get on Trump's good side though. Not at all.

I'd be up for seeing it in a theatre but I don't know anyone else who would join me (at least in Portland) and I'd also be scared about some crazed trans lunatic showing up with bad intentions.

A quick update for the OP...since he is so interested in the success of the film.
FoxNews is reporting 8 mil in opening weekend. That surprises me. It's a documentary, not a comic book flick that non-boomers mistake for real cinema.
Not to worry, though. CNN has reassured its viewers that it isn't a real documentary.
