My boat is going to get blown away. It has a tower and outriggers so it can't go inside the building. It is sitting on a wash rack but it is surrounded by buildings and other boats so it should be shielded from the wind. Problem is that is is sitting about 5 feet above sea level.

I pulled the plug in hopes that it would just fill up with water instead of floating off. If it fills up it will hopefully just sit on the rack. I guess we will know something later today.

This storm is monster.

When RMFTR goes horribly wrong....

Good luck Scoop. Maybe you throw a cleanup party for the board and we all come and get drunk at your house.

Damn, I love that Gulf Coast. Hate it for you and praying for miracles that a lot down there is spared the wrath.

I'm 40 miles from you. No evac. In a house that's been here over 100 years. Seen Opal, Andrew and many more. Flooding will be our issue.

Prepared.

Smart move. Prayers for your home and stuff.

Seeing what Katrina did to the MS gulf coast storm surge-wise, very smart move.

I wish you and all the folks in this storm’s path all the best. I hope it’s not as bad as predicted and that you are able to recover quickly.

Don’t you want to leave the plug in/ turn off bilge so it fills up with rain water first?
This was my experience for Katrina.
Much smaller boat in driveway, but same theory.
