I believe it also means that if a union comes in, they will be in the union. A
That is how I found out that Medical Technologists were not considered professionals by the federal government.

How much is the average RN salary? Or are they hourly? If they are hourly, then how can they be professional?

Schools should lower their tuition in response to less federal money.

A vast majority of clinical graduate programs have very slim margins and the bulk of the expenses are faculty salaries and equipment (and subsequent depreciation).

Unless you expect faculty to accept pay cuts placing them far below what they make in the field, this plan is short-sided.

Sounds like they need to act like a private business and figure out how to do better on less. "Throwing money" at the solution has made it completely unaffordable without massive loans.

Then they risk losing accreditation by not maintaining standards.

Basically costs are not going to go down, some good programs will close, and affluent applicants will have an extreme admissions advantage over those who may be more qualified but have no way to secure private loans.

That sounds overly dramatic. Our universities are loaded with crap jobs that could be cut.

How do other nations do it?

Colleges are pricing themselves out of the market. If costs don’t go down, colleges will die.

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - I agree
ADN - Associate Degree RN - two year program and no way you need $100 student loan
BSN - First two years academic before you are even accepted into an RN (BSN) program. So major in pre-med first two years get all the money you need. After two years apply to BSN program and the loan stuff can start all over. But, I can't imagine an RN of any category should start their career with $100k debt.
We considered ADN as an AD nurse.
We considered RNs BSN and above, Professionals.

Don't see why the big debate over 1965 guidelines. They are obviously out of date. There were very few BSN programs in 1965.

For someone who barely got a degree, it was advanced to me. I was no help when he had problems.

I considered organic and bio chemistry advanced.

should bring the prices down for the nursing levels

schools were making a lot of cash off government for every level of nurse, the prices to go for each level were silly. especially just for coding and entree stuff.

they gave a ton of cash to dei's, so they could flood market with lower skilled, lower pay workers for many entry levels. know several rn's who paid for all of their schooling and bitched about morons working under them
