Say what you want about the candidates, but nobody can deny this is true

He took the bait almost every time.

She said out loud he killed the bipartisan immigration bill and then said his rallies are boring. His response? My rallies are great, didn't refute the idea he killed progress to suit himself.

Kept him talking about abortion - say what you like, every time he talks about abortion it hurts him.

There were more, it was 90 minutes long.

Harris campaign is already calling for another debate.

Yeah, she articulated better than Biden but that’s the bar the democrats set for themselves.

She lied and flip flopped on her trying to distance herself from Biden then trying to claim things she did with Biden. She also rambled on in her non answers and didn’t address the topic of the question asked.

The woman moderator asked her a great question on her changing her stances then let her off the hook.

On an unrelated note, if you type Trump and Tarrifs in to Twitter it's basically just porn. Not in a metaphorical sense.

Part of the problem with trump in debates is that he doesn’t prepare well if at all. He wings it. He rarely has solid numbers or details and it can be confusing to listen to him

This right here.

He has no details on anything and just throws out hyperbole and random numbers while embellishing with best/greatest/most.

His running mate would have absolutely destroyed Harris tonight because he does actually know policy and the details of those policies. He also knows how to debate and to not take bait when offered.

The debate was fine, no major win or disaster. He did best at the beginning and end and most people catch soundbites anyway.

He missed a lot of opportunities to do better by taking the same bait he always takes and not hammering her weaknesses enough.

She came across fake and scripted so the idea she won major points is just wrong.

Right up until she proved his point by noting every state that had voted in abortion since Dobbs voted to protect them at some level.

She didn’t destroy him by any means.

As Bret Hume mentioned she often looked like a dunderhead as VP….so she had a relatively low bar of looking “prepared” and “calm”,
Which she met.

Trump, for his part, nailed his closing. But throughout the debate, he had far too times where he appeared angry and had trouble staying on topic. He took her bait on several occasions…including talking about immigrants eating dogs

Even if you know all the topics that will come up, it should be easy for a moderator to catch you off guard with the angle of a question.

Why would that be a problem?

THey say what they want to say no matter the question.

Harris was asked if we are better off today than 4 years ago and we got to hear her lie about being from a middle class family.

Well, if Ukraine wasn't so trust worthy to get rid of their Nukes, we wouldn't be where we are currently

Kamala took a giant step forward.
Explain exactly why you think this.

Because she didn’t have to explain the disasterous Afghanistan pullout, or her lack of concern over its costs. Because she didn’t have to explain how their policies caused the inflation. WTF is Trump bringing up pets when we have dozens and dozens of easily verifiable murders and rapes and ODs due to illegals? With all the dimocratix failures during the Biden/Harris administration, tonight should have been the dagger in the Kamala’s heart. It was anything but.

At the end of the day this wasn’t a complete trainwreck like the first debate against Biden in 2020 where he kept interrupting and wouldn’t stop speaking.

Holy crap, I can’t believe I am agreeing with you. This debate was a loss for Trump, but it was a loss like the first debate vs HRC in 2016. It’s not a death blow for his campaign but he f**ked up.

Softball he should have knocked out of the park. “Her plan is to give taxpayer money away instead of cut regulations that cost taxpayers money.” “That’s always their answer, “ Give more money, forgive loans, pay home down payments, subsidize EV.”

“My plan is to unburden the people from unnecessary regulations and restraints so businesses can put people to work. And working people can take pride in accomplishment again.”

Ok, didn't hear any specifics from DJT on any of those. This guy is a Paper Tiger with no depth for any issues to fix anything.
