Disagree. If someone pays a shitload in taxes because they're a high earner, but chooses to rent, they shouldn't lose their vote. It should be that only net contributors to the Federal treasury, minus SS recipients, should be allowed to vote in Federal elections. No representation without taxation.

If you restricted voting to just these groups, it would be much better.

That's a pretty short sighted idea. This isn't 1776 anymore. There are many folks that don't own land but participate in the work force and pay taxes.
I would agree that anyone on welfare shouldn't vote, as they make no contribution to the funding of our government.

I think his/her point may go more towards you could a huge net income tax payer, but maybe you just own some high rise apartment/condo in Houston or Chicago. You’re not an actual landowner.
Some people are actual landowners and receive way more money from government than they pay income taxes.
