I wonder if the map indexing tool he used did some "questionable" things.
You appear to be correct. Looks like he's looking into alternative map options.

Add a filter for stores that need to do this

I already have my doubts. It has a corner of Wichita that’s widely known as the worst part of town (place is an absolute shithole, nearly every bad thing that happens in this city happens there, and for the obvious reasons) marked as “peaceful”

It's less than a week old. It's definitely not perfect yet. You can add suggestions.

I can't wait for the liberal news reporters on MSNBC and CNN crying on live TV about this app.
I don't believe they'll talk about it. They know that would just make this app extremely popular.

Opelousas shows as peaceful. App has a ways to go yet.

If these stereotypes were inaccurate, the maps would be rendered pointless. Anyone upset about these maps are acknowledging the truth of the underlying stereotypes.

I have some issues with this. Even before this map everyone knows to avoid NOLA East.

Look at the LA, CA map. It’s not accurate at all.

Put in recommendations. Bottom line is, there isn't anything else even trying to do this.

He could just use a demographic map it’s much easier

udtiger suggested that Realtors not being able to disclose if an area was predominantly white or black came about because of Obama. It didn't, as I stated, and has been around since the start of fair housing.
Correct, but it was later expanded to include fairly innocent questions about crime rates and schools. The realtors have to be very careful about what questions they answer.
Some of that may just be caution, and not actually the law.

It's because this map is basing it off businesses and there is almost nothing in The East.
This is for one of our offices in United Plaza in Baton Rouge. I would not consider United Plaza bad at all.

I remember hearing years ago how proximity to boost mobile stores heavily correlated to violent crime rates.
Yea, it was:
Near Boost Mobile = bad
Near Whole Foods = good
