"Little to do with his gaiety"? Among both the black & Hispanic communities it will be a big deal. Black males seem to have a strong hate, a threat to their masculinity kinda dynamic. Hispanics' strong Catholic faith has a lot to do with their strong aversion, at least according to all that I have read. And how young is he......would he be the youngest ever elected?

If that is the best they are going to be able to do then all the Republicans have to do is tell the DNC, sorry we're not looking the other way this time. Anyone that you can play six degrees of Kevin Bacon with in this administration is going to be about as popular as a person on a deviled eggs and baked beans diet in a stalled elevator.

Leave out the homosexual stuff for a minute. Buttigieg is a formidable opponent. He is extremely smart and nimble on his feet when it comes to issues. He speaks well and is photogenic to an extent. With the full weight of the Democrat donor class behind him, he becomes a tough out.
However, if you jettison a "black" VP for a gay white male, you lose a sizeable portion of the AA vote and I suspect a large portion of the Hispanic vote. Not that these voters automatically get picked up by the Republican, though. They may stay at home.
Factor back in the gay end and you lose the white blue collar vote for at least a generation.

Won't happen. They would basically punt a good portion of the minority votes to gain/retain some of the suburban white women (a lot of whom Biden is losing).
