This obviously helped him in 2020. Was that the coalition that put him over the top?

What? You are. You are saying anyone that doesn't support your guy is a weakminded fool and that they MUST support him. You will make him the candidate no matter what, DESPITE their protestations and reservations. You could, instead, consider their viewpoint and attempt to find someone with a platform you support that they will support as well.

There is only one group of people on here saying “only consider one man, or else”.

I haven't seen that, except OnlyTrumpers.

I'm sure there are many candidates that those who do not support Trump would vote for. Their just happens to be one that:

a) Has a virtually identical platform to trump
b) is running
c) hasn't alienated them

If that guy won't work for you for "whatever" (lol) reason, find someone who does.

Trump is a complete piece of garbage.

Anyone who doesnt vote for him at this point is also a complete piece of garbage. This is our reality.

Really? I told you I'd support whomever the nominee is, assuming there's no glaring shenanigans. Then here's you. Old spilled-milk Fun Bunch, coming in here with the tears. "Waaaah - My milktoast professional politician can't get any traction because he's so, soooo stately and distinguished. Waaaaaaaaaaah. He plays by the rules.. he's such a good man. Waaaaah!"

A Trump victory would be the ultimate win here. But a very, very close second would be the complete destruction of the Republican Party as we know it. You guys want to go back to the Mittens/McCain/Bush days, where everything is evenkeel and handshakes, and all vanilla, button down Reagan rah-rahs. But newsflash, William Buckley - it doesn't work anymore. McCain lost. Romney lost. Jeb or Ted or Marco WOULD HAVE LOST. And so will whatever other slicked back, professional nominee you guys think will really get the party going next.

I'll vote for whomever the chaos candidate is next. You guys can still sit here looking at your old Barry Goldwater posters from the 1960's, wondering what went wrong. Oh, but you'll get it back next time, right? We're gonna overturn ObamaCare next year, right?

We know. You support groomers and open borders and weaponization of government and the Biden admin because you’re an emotional weak minded person with hurt feelers. You probably shouldn’t be voting at all. Unless, of course. You are a groomer. Then this all makes perfect sense.

Do fricking what?

I was a Rand Paul supporter and his dad before that.

Just because I won't idolize someone who talks a good game doesn't mean I don't know who I should be voting for.

So tell me, how the hell do you correlate not kissing Trump's arse to being emotionally weak and a groomer? That's some Olympic level gymnastics you got going there.

Truth be told, this country is so fricked up that in reality, the POTUS is only supposed to keep free and fair trade between the States and be the country's foreign agent. Not the arbiter of gas generators, welfare to states, czar appointer, and many many other things that they are not.

It's why I've said in the past that Desantis is better for the this country as Florida's governor and we should have more like him.

I'm certainly not a "never trumper", I've voted for him in both general electionsand will again if he gets the nomination, BUT he is a narcissistic douche and his "always trump" followers poison the well with their attacks on anyone who considers another candidate.
All sides need to grow up..I'm afraid one group is having a difficult time doing that.

Absolutely not. I’ll gladly vote for DeSantis if he is the nominee. I’ll run to vote for whoever the Republican nominee is. In no world ever could I even imagine being so weak-minded that I would vote or even tacitly approve of the democratic nominee. That is supporting grooming children, open borders, and weaponized government.

However, there are DeSantis voters falling over themselves to tell us they won’t vote for Trump if he is the nominee.

There are a half dozen in this thread.

It's hard to be enthusiastic about participating in a non-credible election system.

It's impossible. I voted for Trump in 2016/2020, had enough, and because im vocally supportive of DeSantis, there are some non-functioning members of this board accusing folks of loving Biden

There are a half dozen posters in this thread that said they won’t vote for the Republican nominee if it’s trump. I haven’t seen one say the opposite. I’m sure they are out there, but in this thread there are a bunch of Ron fans tacitly approving of the democrats

No. We are talking about the half dozen posters that have said if trump is the nominee in the general they won’t vote Republican for President.

In the voting thread, there were about 4 times as many OnlyTrumpers to OnlyRons.

Trump's despicable actions yesterday changed one of those minds, but otherwise that is the reality.

IMHO the Dem candidate for POTUS will win the next POTUS election. Just my opinion. Could be wrong.

WAY too much division on the GOP side of the aisle.

The USA is trending Totalitarian Far Left. I don't see anything here or on the horizon that will stop it or even slow it down for any significant time.

We still have to fight and vote the right way, however.

so its a nasty circle jerk, as baptists say, preaching to the choir.

its offensive and sure to upset grannie.
