Did you happen to catch this part because he is entirely correct. its a lesson that still hasn't sunk in with you.

There is a reason Democrats are eager to keep Trump at the center of the conversation: half of independents say Trump is a major factor in their vote, and they’re breaking 4-1 for the Democrats. Republicans shouldn’t play that game. If they do, they’re cruising for a bruising.

— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) August 29, 2022

Democrats: We don’t want to talk about Biden, the economy, our perversion of the education system, or Afghanistan. Let’s talk about Trump!

Republicans: GREAT IDEA!!!1!!!! LET’S TALK ABOUT TRUMP!!!11!!!

But why are Republicans losing momentum? A mystery wrapped in an enigma.

I agree with you that people want to hear how politicians are going to make everyday life better for everyone and that’s where the main focus should be. At some point and time though Republicans have to start holding some of these people accountable. Republicans let all these Russia Hoax people off the hook and these people just keep ignoring the Constitution more and more. To get things back in order it’s time for people to spend some time in jail. This can’t be glossed over anymore or we will not have a country much longer.

If Ben is correct, how can we NOT conclude that the DOJ and FBI are once again interfering in an election?

Ben literally made an emergency podcast from his Israel trip in ref to the breaking news they'd raided Mar-a-lago. The entire show had been reruns and best-of's but all of a sudden, he's got a new show he basically recorded with his phone.

But now Republicans are talking about it too much? Literally one of the most popular Republican presidents of our lifetime getting raided by the fricking FBI - but they're talking about it too much?

I like Ben but this is a bad look.

Republicans aren't losing any momentum. The true election season is about to kick into gear after labor day. I can't wait for November to get here.

The Republicans will easily take back the house and should get the Senate too.

Endless House oversight into the corrupt Biden Administration, DOJ, and FBI will commence.

I will never take wisdom from the words of a man who made his name by publicly debating low-IQ college students and chalking it up as a "win".

Ted Cruz or James Carville would DESTROY Shapiro in a real debate (just used those names to represent two different ends of the spectrum).

I agree with accountability and the DOJ/FBI needs to get torn down and rebuilt.

When Trump starts to campaign he's gotta put 2020 in the past or he's done for

That's not what he said at all. He said that is appropriate and should happen.

Shapiro is a controlled opposition punk.

It's entertaining watching him destroy liberals, rhetorically, but that's about the extent of his usefulness.

Besides, if he and Candace Owens are the paragons of modern conservatism, why aren't they on Truth Social? It takes 5 minutes to create an account.

Abortion is a hot button issue in this country. Roe vs Wade being struck down resonating with a great number of people. The GOP response? Run and hide.

Spending has created inflation not seen in decades which is hitting every American hard this year. The GOP response? Run and hide.

Over one million illegal aliens have crossed into this country this year alone, by some estimates. With the exception of border states, the GOP has been largely incognito.

The GOP has failed to hit Biden on almost every issue and have spent nearly as much time tut-tutting Trump and Trump supporters as they have attacking on the issues. Independents are not an argument. Independents were a big part of the reason Trump was elected in the first place, they waffled back and forth throughout his term in office, have waffled back and forth on most issues of importance and will continue to do so because they are made of jelly and vote with the way the wind is blowing. The GOP's biggest struggle is getting their OWN BASE to trust them enough to go vote. Think about that. Independents are hardly the problem.

I'm pretty neutral on Ben, but I saw the tweets in passing and didn't come away with this impression at all.

Maybe that's the underlying theme, but I think the explicit argument is that war on the FBI is no substitute for being aggressive against Biden. Which is probably true if you want a red wave.

This is all bullshite. He’s been extremely critical of the rain on Trump, the DOJ, Garland, and Biden.

It’s crazy how the ones that think Trump can do no wrong will kill every other conservative. They think they can be successful with 25% of the population that will blindly back every Trump position regardless of what that position is.
