Every time I got a shake from there (I live here so I have ate there a good bit) there were ice chips in the shakes. The first time I thought it was a mistake but it kept on happening. Steak and Shake is nothing to write home about. If it was it would still be open.

Haven't had them yet but I can't see them being worse than they were before, so I trust that they are better. The burgers are ok, nothing special though.

Was never fan of the burgers but I like the shakes.
Will have to try the fries next time I go by one.

What?
Their burgers, fries and shakes are very good. Even their breakfast sandwiches ive had are good there.

Pemmican is awesome and has an incredible long, stable shelf life. Package it in foil and store it away in a cool, dark place and it's good for over a decade, depending of course on whatever ingredients other than meat that you add.
Mrs. Axe and I rendered some tallow and made/packaged about 15 pounds of venison blackberry pemmican a couple weeks ago.

They closed a bunch of their old locations several years ago but are hopefully about to make a comeback.

I would like for them to " name names" of suppliers who are pushing back on them. Great publicity for Steak 'N Shake. Their sales will be growing big time!
