It's not about Assad or Syria. It's about ridding the use of chemical weapons from the world.

There being a law against the use of chemical weapons is meaningless if there are no consequences to doing so.

literally, NO ONE is saying that.... what many are saying is that we need to take care of home first, stop putting ourselves in other people's shite at damn near EVERY opportunity, and start actually leading in a much more diplomatic way....

I am pretty sure there would be no modern Europe except for the blanket of protection we have provided them for the past 117 years. They would all be Nazi or Soviets if not for the US.

I'm still not sure I agree with the attack on Syria, if things don't escalate, it's probably a moderately large win.

But the above statement is true, Europe would have been Soviet without the protection of the US and U.K.

Yet ordered an EO to get around Congress and did it anyway without any backlash from Congress.

Wrong bitch here dud, I can appreciate the sentiment, but this is just another duplicate thread of yet another of the (same old)**(same old) post. A multiple of a multiple post. I've already agreed with this many times these last 3-4 days.

quote:

Riddle me this, the very air base with chemical weapons that was destroyed was being used by Hezbolla. How long before wmds are on a truck to Western Europe? Or a ship to the US?

Late to party Einstein...I made the Hezbollah thought out loud (right here - almost immediately) the night of the attack.. U're a day late and dollar short, better luck next time.

Dude! Stop!
quote:

We aren't on some moral mission to stop Assad from gassing women and children. This is their way of selling it to the public. We don't give a shite, if we did we would have invaded North Korea, about a dozen African nations and lord knows who else.

Kim the Fat hasn't gassed anyone and you can't name two African nations that have!

Just say, I don't care if little babies and old ladies get gassed. It wasn't me, and I only care about myself because I'm a selfish f+ck!

We would understand. Most won't agree, but trying to make your views moral won't work either.

So much disinformation paraded without shame!
quote:

quote: The US is the leading democracy in the world. [your response] first, we aren't a democracy... we're a republic...

Not a big thing, but wrong. We are a democratic/republic. Our representatives in government are determined democratically by elections.
quote:

quote: They would all be Nazi or Soviets if not for the US [your response] you didn't do well in history back in school, huh?

I promise that no body copied from your history test! what an ignorant statement!
quote:

quote: lone superpower [your response] you really have not a fricking clue, huh?

Quick, names the worlds super powers in 2017. America and...and...ah.....ah...

quote:

quote: Leaders do not sit on the sideline and watch babies being gassed to death. [your response] hell no we don't... we lob missiles and kill them ourselves...

Q: How many babies did we kill on the Syrian air base?
A: Exactly 0, none, nada, zip, zero, ziltch, naught, goose egg, a bid nothing, etc.
So much for your moral equivalency!
quote:

quote: fighting for your freedom. [your response] okay, here's the thing.... our "freedom" hasn't been legitimately fought for since WW2... not once since then has our "freedom" been subject....

Someone slept through the Cold War chapter! It started with Churchill's recognition in 1946, and ended with the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992. Almost a 50 year death struggle between the USA and allies versus the USSR and allies. They lost, and their way of life ended.

If one must lie and deceive to prop up their point, it says bad things about the point.

I don't hate trump. I just disagree with intervening in Syria.

Unlike the left, we on the right actually can have an independent thought and criticize our elected officials when they do things we don't like

Our own government has threatened our freedom more than any foreign nation since WW2

Does the means of killing them really matter when it all leads to the same conclusion?

"Our own govt......". But yet, you proclaim to just be asserting your right to disagree with U.S. foreign policy. This quote goes a bit beyond that. Guess what: POTUS Donald Trump has only been in office going on 3 mths. Get used to it, he's going to be around for a while. And I am no Trump supporter, I was anti Hillary when it came to voting. But now that he's in office I am going to give him a chance. There's a poster, WhiskeyPoppa, who compares POTUS Donald Trump to the Nazi war criminals tried & convicted at Nuremberg. Guessing the two of you share the same anti American bias?

This waste of taxpayer money is not ensuring the security of the American people and is only serving the interests of those who profit off of it.

Why do your think we did it? And, before you say oil, check and see how much oil we get from Syria.

So opposing Fascism is now anti-American.

Interesting times we live in.
