definitely voted for this.

Such a ridiculously dumb take considering Trump himself traditionally votes by mail.

In my family we have 3 active military members who are serving over seas. My sister works for the state department and her husband is DEA both work at a foreign embassy. I have a cousin who is an international pilot, and two others that are surgeons that can’t leave the hospital for 36 hour shifts for any reason. Our kids attend college out of state but because of financial aid they have to vote at our primary residence. My wife and I are rarely in the state of our primary residence in November.
Most of the people mentioned above are Republican. 7 of them are either active or retired military and they all almost have to vote by mail.

Glad you are proud to strip Americans of their right to vote.
You probably never resided outside of a mile from where you were born. You have no idea how many people have careers that don’t allow them to be home to vote on Election Day.
I’ll agree with you if we close every school, hospital, airport, military base, and embassy for three days.

And every time the Republicans push for the security you suggest is possible, a Democrat sues to stop it from happening.

t should only be allowed in the most limited circumstances, military or government employees overseas, US citizens registered and identified working overseas etc.

You’re only beginning to scratch the surface of people who can’t be home on Election Day. How about domestic and international pilots and flight crews? How about hospital staff that have 36 hour shifts where they can’t leave the hospital? People who work overseas? How about people who work offshore in the oil industry?

I worked pretty closely with my county supervisor of elections for many years because of my job at the time. In that county more than 50% of the votes in any election came in by mail. The reason is because of second homes, the majority of snowbirds keep their Florida residence as their main residence but aren’t there for multiple election dates.
The reason why I bring up the supervisor of elections is because these offices are very open and you can make an appointment to meet with your supervisor of elections. When you pull back the curtain you will see that mail in voting is a necessary and vital means to conduct an election. Learn more about the process and you’ll have less ignorant takes on the subject.

Should never have been allowed in the first place for anyone outside of overseas military and even then, you could arrange a poll on the base.

So you’re really in favor of tearing up that constitution.

Is it unconstitutional for federal elections to have a defined set of standards? States can hold their own elections separately and with their own standards, but federal elections can be defined.

Having state elections held on military bases in foreign countries would be a violation of state control.

Too many of yall are equating mail in voting to absentee voting. They are not the same thing.

Are we talking about absentee ballots, which most states have? This seems reasonable as someone may be outside of their state of residence for medical reasons, education, military service, etc. and can't be in their polling place on election day. I'd be in favor of this for specific cases; I believe this is what Louisiana does.

Or are we talking about states that send out ballots to everyone registered in the state, no matter if they need one or not? States like California, D.C. do this.

Here is a list of states that allow all-mail elections; some are for small districts where they decide to do mail instead of setting up a polling location. Others are state-wide, mail-in voting.

The only work you need to do from home is to look at a calendar today.

BTW- Sorry you had a stroke. Truly, that sucks.

Congressional Republicans are followers not leaders… that is why they don't strongly support getting rid of mail in voting.

Easy...get an absentee ballot.
