He fled Iran as a child with his family. They lived in a refugee camp then came to US.

He then built a multi hundred million dollar company in the US and sold it.

He’s independently wealthy.

He is building a media company, I believe.

I seriously doubt he is being paid by the country he fled from.

I saw a pic on X of multiple cellphones being held in a small group of people, with the caption thanking Elon for the Starlink. Maybe it was smuggled in if sales are banned.
That's likely true, but I was unaware that Starlink was turned on for Iran. I asked @grok:

"Is Starlink turned on for Iran?"

It answered:

quote:

Yes, Starlink has been activated for use in Iran as of early January 2026, amid the ongoing nationwide internet blackout imposed by the government during widespread anti-regime protests.

Multiple reports from January 8–10, 2026, indicate that Elon Musk and SpaceX have enabled (or "turned on") Starlink satellite internet access in the country. This allows people with Starlink terminals—many of which have been smuggled in despite being illegal under Iranian law—to bypass the regime's shutdown and connect to uncensored internet. Some sources describe the access as free for a limited period, similar to previous activations (e.g., during a 2025 blackout).

Key Details from Recent Reports:
The activation helps protesters and citizens stay online, share footage, and coordinate, as traditional internet traffic has dropped to near zero.

Footage of protests in cities like Tehran, Mashhad, Tabriz, and Shiraz has emerged via Starlink connections.

Estimates suggest 40,000–50,000 terminals are already in use underground.

The Iranian government is actively jamming signals (e.g., GPS interference causing packet loss), but low-Earth-orbit satellites make a complete block difficult.

This mirrors a prior incident in June 2025, when Musk publicly confirmed activation during another blackout, stating "the beams are on."

For some reason the American left has completely aligned themselves with Islam, which is wild

The only fight now is nationalism vs globalism.

The left would and has aligned with any group which is identified as being opposed to traditional American nationalism because that’s what the intel groups do during a color revolution and a color revolution is exactly what we’ve been seeing roll out over the past 10+ years.

The US conservative/middle class is the only bulwark against the complete supremacy of the globalist/WEF model and they’ve been undermining our foundations for generations now.

Let's just say subsidize. He is not at all accurate on Iran.

I have always viewed him as nothing more than a great closer salesman in the used car kind of way.

None of this happens if Putin decides not to attack Ukraine. Amazing to see all these dominos fall.

A side note, Iranians don't trust PBD because he is being paid by Iran.

Considering what happening and his background, I would have expected him to be a lot more vocal and engaged with this. Does make you wonder.

Ummmmm
Per Wiki
quote:

Iran produces approximately 5,062,000 barrels of oil per day as of 2024, making it one of the top oil producers in the world. This production level reflects a significant capacity, although it has fluctuated over the years due to various factors including sanctions and market conditions.

Persians are some of the coolest people. Very traditional, secular, stay away from religion. It would really be something if they could take back Iran. They bust their asses. The ones that got out remember.

My FIL is from Iran and left back in 79. He’s probably the most conservative person that I know. A democratic, secular Iran would be a world power

He will meet the same fate as Mussolini, Gaddafi and Hussein. They all fled when the people turned.

The Iranian leadership is isolating itself on a military base.

Would sure be a shame if a MOAB just happened to fall in the middle of that base.

Putin’s 3 day special military operation might go down in history as the 2nd biggest miscalculation of all time.

I hope Khamenei is dumb enough to stay in one place. Such an easy target. Almost makes me think that Iran is planning a trap of some kind.
