Do you understand that part of this administrations strategy is to reshore manufacturing aka corporations having to eat the margin compression that accompanies that reshoring? All other things are not equal in the real world like your Econ textbook says.

Even if we ultimately pay for the tariff taxes, I would rather pay them in a system where I don't have to fill out a bunch of paperwork and get an anal probe by the government every April.
