I see what Virginia, California, and Texas are doing and I compare that to Louisiana where we give the Dems a district without a fight so the governor could punish a fellow Republican and it makes me sick.
It's always been blocked by the courts since the Civil War. All southern states have had to get federal approval before changing voting laws or districts. It wasn't until just these recent USSC rulings that will allow it.

Useless republicans after being elected:
"It takes time to change these things. We have to have a process and do these things right. We need a few years."
Elected democrats in the first month:
"Here's a new tax! Here's another new tax! More taxes! More taxes! We are changing this policy!! We are removing that.. adding this... amending that.... and oh yea.. here is a new redistricting map that gerrymanders the entire state! Let's Gooooooo!"

Why is that? I’m not familiar with the sentiment on this…
What would be the rationale?

Haven’t you got the memo yet? Get out of California before it’s too late.

Congress didn’t even bother trying to pass legislation at the direction of Trump, when he instructed Mike Johnson to stand down so he could pass executive orders. He didn’t want debate or compromise.

Good. The GOP can bury them at this game

The western counties have already been invited to join WV.
Alternatively they could form their own state, Central Virginia, and give the Republicans 2 more Senate seats.

No. It was established years ago in northeast states.

When will the right realize that the democrats are at war. There ore no rules in war and they approach ut that way. They take everything more seriously, voting on smaller elections, getting their wording down for every situation and staying on message, they drill their points home til people think it's true

Tell that to Texas and Virginia.

Redistricting has been going on for years, but with updated census numbers. And not mid-decade.
But this mid-decade approach was something that Trump requested.

The other side in Virginia didn't get debate or compromise either. Democrats had those bills ready to go as soon as the swearing in happened.
Nor was there compromise on the final passage of the ACA.
I mean... remember all of the times Nancy Pelosi was all about debate and compromise? When they want something passed.. does it get passed when they are in the majority? They whip their members into complete lock step. Our house congressman during the Obama years sacrificed his career and was a one termer because of Pelosi's threat to be ready to vote for the ACA if they needed him. So it must have been a good threat.
This first half congress is painfully matching the Paul Ryan house.
