I'm struggling. I want to pray for whatever good, common people are left in Iran, so i do pray for it. But there's also a part of myself that I just know couldn't care less if every country in that region just incinerated themselves in nuclear fire.
The more I actually looked into Islam, the more I realized that there just aren't any "moderate Muslims". If they believe the Qaran and follow it's specific and finite teachings to the letter, then they intend (whether openly or not) for Islam to enter every home and family on earth, and they intend to kill anyone that rejects it. If they say otherwise, they're practicing "taqiyya", which gives them absolute divine permission to lie about their intent.
There may be some very decent, moral and even "good" people who are practitioners of Islam, but when it comes down to it, their entire Civilization will follow the orders of the qaran and kill their neighbors when the time comes. There is not a more loyal and devout religious civilization that that of Islam. I've seen these people pulled over on the side of the various turnpikes and highways in Oklahoma kneeling on their prayer rugs in the evenings. They are upjumped zealots.
Me? I'm fine with them doing whatever they want and dealing with whatever comes of it, as long as they keep that shite on their own land. But their purpose and intent is to spread far and wide across every inch of landmass on earth. There is no stopping what ultimately will come. The final showdown.

I don't know where my friend Bunk is, but I'm pretty sure I murdered Roger in a thread last week.

More Christians in Persia.

Trump should turn the Ayatollah into a grease spot once they start killing those people.

That event has passed. I can only surmise hell is on its way

Methinks we’ve seen this several times before in recent years and the protests are eventually subdued through force and / or whatever subdued the previous ones.
IMO... This weekend will tell us where this is headed. I have seen reports the powers that be have shut the internet down in Iran. That is a pretty clear indication situation is getting real. If the protests survive the weekend I may actually have some optimism that the protests may succeed in ousting the current regime.

quote:Yeah, that should stabilize the situation. Besides him threatening to ‘make them pay’ if they killed protesters, what would be the actual justification for assassinating a foreign leader of another country killing people in his own country? (Past offenses against the US and American interests has been used so maybe something else..TIA)

You’re right, this is nothing we haven’t seen before in Iran and these aren’t even the biggest protests they’ve had in the last 10-15 years. The regime stays in power at the end of this.
Winners don't have to do this.

Needs to happen. Decapitate the regime and all those generals who aren't immediately strung up suddenly discover they were for the Shah all along and never liked that grease spot anyway.
We've been dealing with them for too long. He's the impediment. Blow him up and be done with it.
Then get on the phone to Putin and tell him we're shutting down the war now. Putin will be happy to.

The regime has already released IRGC Ground Forces to suppress protests in provinces like Kermanshah. The POTUS has warned them that we are locked and loaded if innocents continue to die. Likewise, they have warned us.
IMHO an all-out war in the region is moderate to high.

Western countries will get 10 million Iranian "refugees" then their takeover of the west will be complete.

The next few days are a tipping point. The Regime has called in the shock troops and turned off the internet/cell service. Either the IRGC tanks will mow down enough protesters to retake control or the protesters will succeed in overthrowing the Mullahs. Once that happens, the most likely outcome is the Shah returns and restores a constitutional monarchy. However, all bets are really off at that point. I want to believe the protests will be successful and lead to am American friendly, pro-capitalism, pro-human rights, secular regime taking power and bringing stability, but I have my doubts.

How many years has he been the problem? What has changed in the last week or so?
Posted on 1/9/26 at 2:51 pm to Pragmatist2025
Long enough.
We have an opportunity.
We have an opportunity.

The regime will murder thousands in the street and more in “custody”. The mullahs will kill and terrorize until the population is subdued. They will not lose power. They are willing to kill millions to stay in power.

quote:In the spring of 2025, Israel launched an attack on Iran based on an AI generated report from the IAEA that said Iran might be developing nuclear weapons, though our intelligence agencies said there was no threat. This happened at the same time that Netanyahu’s corruption charges were heating up.
Long enough. We have an opportunity.
Within a week of that attack, it was decided that only the US had the ability to stop the threat. After bombing Iran, Trump declared the threat eliminated. Bibi wanted to continue his war…(Trump: they don’t know what the frick they’re doing!) It ended.
Everything has been quiet until last week when Bibi visited the White House. Soon after, the president made threats to Iran concerning nuclear weapons and ballistic missile development while offering no evidence besides Bibi’s word. (Meanwhile Trump has called for his charges to be dropped, and Huckabee even attended his last hearing as the judicial process is moving forward).
Within a few days, there is protesting in the street and Trump threatens the Iranian government about harming protesters. Presently there is the call to bomb Iran, kill their leaders, and arm the “resistance”. No matter what the reason/rationale is for attacking Iran, in the past 9 months there is only one common denominator for such.

Put Bibi’s pic instead of Hannibal and your point is more accurate.
