I used to get in internet arguments about the science and did deep dives and such....I eventually came to the conclusion that more CO2 in the environment was actually beneficial to humans and the planet.

More arable land.
Higher yield on vegetative growth.
More people die from the cold than from heat.
Use of less petroleum products in the long run for heating purposes...etc...there are lots of arguments, actually.

Remember when Lurch said he wanted to eliminate carbon from the atmosphere? John Kerry wants to kill us.

Climate change is like racism....

Talking points for the LEFT, and neither one actually exists.

Well, 20 years ago it was “global warming”. Before that it’s was holes in the ozone.
Before that it was a new ice age.

It’s always something with these assholes.

I’ve seen it asked before but have never seen an answer: What is Earth’s temperature supposed to be? What is Earths “climate” supposed to be?

Here’s a secret: The earth’s climate has always been changing. It’s only a “problem” now because people have built along areas that are subject to be impacted when Earth eventually does what it has always done.

(That and oh….it’s a very lucrative scare tactic for a relative handful)

You shouldn't, just don't litter or throw chemicals into the the Earth that are harmful. Personal responsibility

Before I can get on board with the warming thing, well am still waiting to see what happens with previous climate-related predictions such as the impending ice age, the ozone hole, and having to wear gas masks due to air pollution levels.

Yes, most rational folks are common-sensical in being responsible human beings, but the constant but not ever (yet) realized fearmongering ploy should be viewed by most as a 'boy cried wolf' scenario. But yet it continues.

Climate change can’t be stopped if that’s what the earth wants.

They should put all this energy and money into cleaning up the environment — polluted rivers, chemical spills, plasticized oceans, litter, homeless waste, etc.

Maybe Mother Nature would be kinder to us if we cleaned up her home.

It’s about control. Everything gov does is about control. You can quote me on that.

Bunch of morons in this thread. Do you really think it’s okay if the average high in NOLA for the summer is 110 degrees? Of course not.

The theory that man is making the earth warm faster than it otherwise would is not proven, but it’s probably correct. Man’s effect is clearly not as great as the alarmists say (The glaciers in Glacier Park did not melt by 2020), but we should definitely take precautions against man made global warming. We just should not go overboard in ways that radically reduce standards of living.

You can buy into it or not. I choose not to. Climate change is a tool used by the liberal elite to try to exert power and control over our lives. Same with Covid.

I'm 48. Been through acid rain, radioactive snow, global cooling, global heating, rising water levels, no water, COVID, COVID 2, Carter, Biden, Obama, Clinton, Bush, Bush.
Peak oil, food is gonna run out, Y2k, 2012...you can't kill me motherfrickers. I can keep going...swine flu, west nile, ebola, SARS, ebola, hole in the ozone.

When will all these dumbshits realize there are global elites and it's not a conspiracy that they make this shite up to control people through fear.

You’re a fricking moron, volcanos creates more CO2 than all the cars in the world. Plants need CO2 to survive. Sun and solar flares have more impact than anything man does short of a full on nuclear holocaust.

Yes we should try not to pollute, pollution is bad and makes people sick and hard to breathe. But it’s not changing the fricking climate, that’s a joke

Oh and btw we’re entering a natural global cooling trend:

The biggest driver of the Earth’s climate is the Sun, not carbon emissions. The Sun controls 99.5% of climate, not trace CO2. Whodathunk

China and India are responsible for 80% of the voodoo gases that allegedly change the climate. If this "change" is truly anthropogenic, then until these two countries do something, our doing something is meaningless.

I refuse to be lectured to by people like John Kerry who, in less than 6 months, likely produces twice the carbon footprint I'll create in my life time. It's the very definition of elitism.

People talk about the 'balance of Nature' like it is something that existed before Man came along.

Nature is Never in balance , something is always happening,
a lion gets hungry, there is an earthquake, a tornado in Oklahoma and so on.

Everyone should read this book.
A fiction book with footnotes and a bibliography.

Unless we are talking about major polluting, like pouring industrial waste into rivers and lakes, or clear cutting entire forest, you shouldn’t.
Certainly, the inconveniences and cost of the green new deal ideas don’t justify the potential benefits.

If for no other reason than to be prepared and adapt (which is the only real solution because even if every industrial process stopped right now and even if every mammal was removed from the Earth immediately, the "global" temperature would still increase 1.5C based on the models from the idiots that actually believe in AGW)
