I hope so. Hotel prices are through the roof too.

Is this the only lottery that they are doing for tickets?

There are three more lotteries.

No one I know IRL was picked in this first lottery.

Not a chance

Unless you want to see two 4th tier countries play a meaningless match. Then you might get them close to FV.

The club World Cup says otherwise. The SA and African teams fan bases showed out

Also so many expats and multi generational families live here

For a majority of seats yes especially with dynamic pricing for more attractive matches.

The top two classifications of seats take up 85-90% of the seats for every match. You can see it on the seating charts.

Those $60 tickets are only like a couple hundred seats are are terrible

I can’t imagine day of tickets for some shitty match in Houston will be very expensive. That’s what I’m planning on. If not, at least I can’t save money sleeping at home before the match.

I'm able to buy tickets for the next few days. $310-410 for tickets to Houston group stage. Is it worth buying and reselling? Is FIFA even allowing that?

I signed up for two lotteries in the past and finally just said to hell with it. They will have to come off these prices.

Damn. Once again no one in my group must’ve gotten the buy window.

Was fortunate to be able to buy tickets today to the July 4 Philly Round of 16 game. Wasn’t cheap, but looking forward to it. Non-zero (very small, but non-zero) chance it’s USA vs England on 250th anniversary of the country. Would be awesome.

There are stories of Argentinians selling their cars to get to Qatar.

Scored two upper GA tickets for Argentina/Algeria @ arrowhead for 500 a pop. Can’t find the GA sections in a seating map for the life of me. Assuming it’s standing with first come first serve seating.

Was fortunate enough to work with the Orlando Host Committee in ’94. They had a contest for a logo/mark for the Orlando tournament. I thought it was for the The US Soccer organization, but it was just Orlando. I won and had tickets to two matches. Five teams in town: Belgium, Rep of Ireland, Morocco, Netherlands, and Mexico. Saw the Mexico v Ireland match and the Belgium v Netherlands match.
All I remember is it was HOT AS HELL in late June. They ran out of water at every match.
No idea why they would schedule matches dead of summer in the South.

Received a US supporters special access code that expires today and figured why not

After setting up FIFA account, the website blocked me from even trying to do anything and I can't get back in

I wasn't even expecting anything , but frick those corrupt assholes - now add incompetent to the list of descriptors
