Pure conjecture here, but I’m thinking it goes into 2023, at minimum.

Ya, wrong administration in office to have this end sooner than later. Just how it goes.

I think an "R" administration would have probably dropped in May when the CDC guidance came out. That's just where the political pressure lies. Of course, it didn't exist under the previous admin

Airlines may or may not have kept their own rules.

At least I could have flown Delta with my son wherever I needed to go but I don't have that option at all now.

When the Pandemic ends, duh. But having gotten sick on many a flight full of coughing hacking people, I'm okay with never.

A couple of tips.

1) Hit the bar before the flight. The masks come off as soon as you sit down. People were asses to elbows on bar stools a couple of weeks ago at Dulles and no one cared.

2) I know this doesn't apply to everyone. Fly first class. Between some type of food service and more than a couple drinks you'll have the mask off a good bit of the time.

Yes, it costs more but there is significantly less time spent with a mask on.

Buy a bottle of water and act like you are drinking it anytime you don’t want to wear a mask.

Magically Covid isn’t contagious when everyone takes masks off to eat Delta’s in flight snack

Some flight attendants have become real battle axes on the planes. Plus their messages are constantly nagging you about what to do / safety.

I keep hoping the people in their pre-flight video will go beyond masks and just have bags on their heads.

My issue isn't me. It's my 2 year old son when other western countries don't force 2 year olds to do it. Yet here we are.

I just saw Norwegian Cruise Line is ending their mask mandate on March 1. Also New York and Massachusetts are ending their mask mandates.

I’m wondering if the TSA/airline industry is going to look at ending/revising their mask mandates

Oh, the airline industry is extremely ready for the end of mask mandates.

I expect that almost all mask mandates (except places like hospitals) will be gone by election day. That's the real deadline.

It’s set by the president. It’s set to expire in mid March right now.

you honestly may want to see if you have some sort of immune system issue if this is the case. Do you seal yourself in your home from October - February to avoid people as well?

If I had to guess, it would be when there aren't any highly infectious variants driving up cases. Hopefully in year 3, if the Spanish Flu history is a guide.

I simply cannot see Biden lifting it any time soon.

At the earliest, I could see right before the mid-term elections to claim a "victory".

So October-ish.

Because the state of Nevada allowed them too.

Almost every major business will do the same if able to under the law.
