I’ll never understand statements like this. It has always been about money, it always will be. There isn’t a business venture on earth that isn’t solely about the money.

It's a lot of money...but how is that in the context of CFB in general. There's a lot of money in the sport so it raises everything for everybody.

And its not even close to NBA or baseball money...

Considering the amount of money football generates its pocket change.

It is. IMO, Baker and Kiffin together is a pretty big deal.
If LSU wins big, the state wins big as well. That’s hard to put a price tag on.

At $3M/year we better not see QBs running wild next year.

Football funds almost everything in the Athletic Dept. If it fails the rest suffers

It’s not if, but when ticket prices continue to increase

You don’t think they already charge exactly as much as they can to maximize revenue? It’s not like they were going to lower ticket prices if we hired a new DC making $750K. That’s not how any of this works.

I think Kiffin is going to help there. Definitely will help playing his offense in practice.

You are correct …… but I work for a construction company in Tuscaloosa and through the Saban era the city has experienced incredible economic growth. Restaurants, motels, hotels, student housing, have gone up everywhere and billions of dollars have flowed into the University. Even with what Saban has been paid, I feel sure his salary has been pennies on the dollar to what has been brought in!

They sure don’t think twice about raising those ticket prices tho

Didn’t they just announce that they wouldn’t be increasing ticket prices next year? If you can’t afford it, watch it from home.

Cardi B made millions more $$$ on the “song” WAP. Now that’s the sign of messed up societal values.

Yeah. LSU's defensive coordinator is the reason for the socio-economic problems in our society that play out in EBR Parish.

Good Lord you people are dense.

If you don’t think there is a financial benefit to a university in having a great football team year in and year out I don’t know what to say. More money flows in than would otherwise, much more.

It’s about half a million more than his salary last year. These things made sense when you were paying a cei head coach like O before the NC.

The fact Wilson is gettin over $1 million per as a position coach has been absolutely ridiculous and a bigger wtf about where priorities are.
