Josh Pate said that if DeBoer left for Michigan Dillingham would take the Bama job and that he really wanted it. Point being he wants a big time program job and ASU isn’t it.

Dillingham’s holier art thou approach is perfect for Michigan.

He is awesome at going 8-4/9-3

The talking heads seem hellbent on getting DeBoer out of Tuscaloosa.

Pate was pushing him.

It unlikely this is representative of anything real.

Let’s be pragmatic about this; he loves asu, yes, but jobs like Michigan don’t always come around when you’re at your hottest. You gotta get when the getting is good.

If he fails he can go back to Arizona state whenever he wants and will be welcomed back with open arms

Michigan is a premiere job.

Is it though? One decent season in my lifetime and only reason they won it all then was due to Georgia getting hosed by the playoff committee

Those sites really are not helpful when it comes to coaching hires. Most of the time, those sites had Florida as the favorite to land Kiffin even though nearly all reputable sources were predicting LSU

i can say with 100% certainty he interviewed for LSU.

he wants a place he can win an NC and support by admin on NIL.

he isnt going to leave for any job, but a top 10, like UM...possibly....a sure fire top 5 job like Bama....yea he is snatching that up.
