Lane seems like a man with integrity and pride. Maybe he wants to win one with Ole Miss and be a big time hero there. If he goes to Florida or LSU, he’s just another in a line of coaches that won, especially at LSU.

If he comes to LSU he'll be looking for an NFL Job before unpacking

Their message boards don’t seem to be worried at all.

Maybe they are resigned to the fact that if they have to pay $XX,000,000 to keep him oh well, time to move on.

He’s really not “just in a long line of coaches”. We have great tradition but we don’t have the trophy case of OU, USC, bama, etc…and Saban was only here for five years. Lane could easily be the best coach in school history by the time he hangs it up.

Gut feeling is that he sticks with ole miss but saying he couldn’t be the goat at LSU is simply untrue.

The two OM fans in my family never have liked him and wouldn’t care if he leaves. They’ve been consistent.

These are the same people who dump shittty chicken fingers in a chafing dish, hang a cheap chandelier in a tent, throw on a pair of khakis and proclaim themselves sophisticated. Who gives a shite?

Lane’s loyalty lies with only himself.

I’d like Lane just to see what he can do with a LSU offense but man I have reservations about him being a generational hire.

Think about how USC ended… or Tennessee, or getting fired from the Raiders for being an arrogant prick.

Blue Bloods have deep rosters - come at an opponent in waves....this is not the way of Ole Miss and NIL will only make this need more scarce

If he comes, he comes. If he stays, he stays.

We won a natty with his defensive line coach so LSU will be fine either way.

hes gone. hes sending his family to potential job candidates. he hasn't signed the extension on his desk. ole miss is putting pressure on him and they dont seem to care whether hes ready to make a decision or not.
read the tea leaves. ole miss is fricking themselves with these emergency meetings and deadlines.
