This is what we should honestly be hoping for.
I can't imagine more than a very few people melting if it's Dave.
Guy can flat out coach, has a high floor, is brilliant and stable, and has more potential than almost any younger coach out there right now.
Dave would be a very solid hire that LSU would not regret.

Shea reported that the recruits he spoke to denied hearing anything about Riley from staff when that all came out Friday. Could be him dispersing smokescreen for the admin, but I doubt it when it comes to recruiting.

No, there was genuine interest in Riley. You don't tell recruits he's your next HC unless you know. Riley refused to deny rumors up until yesterday too, that tells you right there he was talking to LSU to get leverage on OU. LSU also baited him to know if he was genuinely interested and then he agreed to a deal that ultimate he never planned to accept. We got bamboozled and he got what he wants at OU.

Why is this bad PR for LSU? The university hasn't said anything, and there have been plenty of contradicting rumors over the last month. Again, the Riley smoke was fanned by supposedly reliable posters on here.
