The real reason politicians such as Pocahontas are outraged

If abortion laws are kicked back to the states, that means federal tax dollars to planned parenthood are cut. Planned parenthood gets $530 million per year in federal funding and they spend $150 million on democrat campaigns. Unfortunately they will probably still get tax dollars for other services like mammograms, pap smear, gyno exams, birth control pills, IUD's, etc.

Uh, they don’t do mammograms, that I know. They don’t test for Ovarian cancer either, that’s from their own people. They basically just do abortions, but say they do other things for PR and government funding

Federal funding can't go to abortions. That's already law. The funding to planned parenthood funds other services.

Planned parenthood def helps with lowering the cost of an abortion. It’s one of their missions.

That's not the cause of the outrage. We have to remember that politicians have one main goal. Getting reelected.
This whole abortion thing is designed to give voters a reason to vote Dem. There are no other reasons to justify their reelection.
One left wing commentator said yesterday 'The only other strong issue (besides abortion rights) that Dems are identified with is Climate Change.'
They have to make this court case sound like the end of the world. If you don't vote Dem in Nov the GOP will destroy your life. That requires a lot of drama and she's just faking emotion to get that across. She doesn't give a shite about women's rights. None of them do.

Not sure exactly what that has to do with federal funding. Since PP is a non-profit I would assume they are attempting to reduce costs to the patient. But federal funding absolutely can't be used towards abortions. That's been law for a long time.

We can send money to Hezbollah but not for terrorism. They absolutely can't use THOSE dollars for terrorism.

If no federal funding goes to abortion and these clinics provide so many other services that are federally funded, why would getting rid of abortion (or some percentage of them) cause these planned parenthood clinics to not be able to provide these other services?

Was at lunch with one of the former Presidents of PP today - only bc they are close family. They offer several other programs including contraception, STD panels, etc however they are the go-to baby murder factory.

the same can be said for the GOP protecting babies. it's an election issue so they care. the % of congressman from both parties that have paid for the service is probally 50% +

Well, since words have meanings, if you give a bum 3 dollars and watch him go to the store and buy a sandwich with your 3 dollars, you bought him a sandwich. If he took your 3 dollars and bought meth then you paid for his meth. Trying to drag this into a theoretical philosophical debate is silly.
