This theoretical scenario would cause CHAOS...

This weekend is HUGE in determining the East and the West division in the SEC...but what if it leads to more chaos? If LSU beats Alabama this weekend, the West is ours to lose. However, if Bama beats LSU, Bama would hold the tiebreaker if they were to lose again. To make this scenario become as chaotic as possible, what if that loss is to Ole Miss??? This would mean that the SEC West would have a three-way tiebreaker for the top spot. LSU, Bama, and Ole Miss would all be 8-2 in conference play. However, do to the overall records LSU would be out of it, and then Ole Miss would have the tiebreaker against Bama. I obviously hope this doesn't happen, but its fun to think a three-way tie for the SEC West could happen.

6-2, but yeah the rest would be interesting

Isn’t divisional record the next tiebreaker after conference record? I dont think overall record comes into it

Also this scenario requires that ole miss lose again. We only play 8 conference games

Did Ole Miss lose another SEC game that I'm not aware of?

Ole Miss would only have 1 Conference loss. They'd to go Atlanta.

The only way it ends up a three way tie at 6-2 is if Ole Miss loses to someone else. That would give Ole Miss the worst division record, which would revert the tiebreaker back to the head-to-head winner between LSU and Bama (so Bama, in your scenario.)

Basically guaranteed

First, as it has been pointed out, if OM wins out and AL beats LSU, then OM wins the west.
Second, if OM subsequently loses the egg bowl, then the tie breaking rules would give the title to AL. An orderly resolution of a three way tie is the opposite of Chaos.
Third, the closest to chaos would have been if the other OM loss was Kentucky. While unlikely because of subsequent tie-breakers, it might make it to a coin flipping contest. That would chaotic.

This is why CBS wants LSU/Ark at 11am. They can watch this scenario play out during their 2:30 game

Here is the tie break process per sec LINK

This can't be allowed to happen.

Multiple questions arise here. Who else does Ole Miss lose to? Right now, if we lose to Alabama and Ole Miss beats Alabama, then Ole miss would need one more loss for a 3-way tie
If you want to assume another Ole miss loss to someone other than Alabama along the way. then it has o be to an SEC west team.
in a 3-way tie the first tiebreaker is head-to-head. But since that would not eliminate anyone, the next tiebreaker is the SEC West record. That would eliminate Ole Miss.
Then Bama would win head-to-head vs LSU.

Even in that scenario, Ole Miss would be eliminated because Kentucky has a worse conference record than Tennessee and then Bama would win on head-to-head vs LSU.
