Daniels vs nuss improvements

Let’s say both guys go into the off-season and each correct their major flaw. Daniels is able to make a decision and release the ball much faster and Nuss cleans up the recklessness style of throwing. All else stays the same. Who do you think becomes more lethal at the QB position.

Nussmeier minus your claimed recklessness is essentially the 3rd greatest quarterback of all time.

Daniels is the easy answer given your scenario assuming he finds the receivers and gets the balls to them

Nuss
As dynamic as Daniels is, I’d rather have the ball in the hands of nabers or boutte in space
Even if Daniels gets over the mental hurdles he is not an accurate passer and that’s a hard thing to fix
The best version of Nuss is Brett Favre, and the best version of Daniels is Lamar jackson. I’d take Favre given that choice

Easily Daniels with his running ability. I'd love to see him develop as a passer, but after 11.5 games of little to no progress I don't see him changing what he is: an athlete that happens to play quarterback.

If Daniels actually corrects his issues I can't see how he wouldn't be the answer. His running ability adds an extra layer, if they both scramble but keep their eyes downfield, Daniels is way more likely to pull a DB out of position and open a passing lane than Nuss. That isn't a knock against Nuss, just an acknowledgment of how good a runner Daniels is. Daniels with fewer sacks, better reads, and better passes is a top Heisman candidate.

So for the people whose answer is Jayden, would you rather have an improved Daniels over Burrow, since Daniels is a better runner?

With an improved OL, Nuss makes more sense. He’s a much better passer and has proven he can stretch the field. Getting the ball to our playmakers was a challenge in multiple games this year. If the OL is not steady next year Daniels mobility is a better option. Both will not be here to start next season though, that much is certain.

Depends. Give me the level of improvement with his reads. Is he on par with burrow with his decisions and vision? Or is he still lagging behind?

What? When did Burrow come into this?

Are you saying Nuss is on par with Burrow with his reads and pinpoint passing?
And has Jayden progressed to the point he is on Burrow's level of reads?
Content matters when you ask questions unrelated to the OP. Also, your Nuss bias is showing.

Jayden improving his reading defense is like me saying Nuss improving his speed by next year.

Not really but I get what you are saying.
However, the question posed by the op had the premise that both QBs fixed their perceived deficiencies. So I answered accordingly. I do not expect either to completely fix anything but hope both make some progress toward significant improvement. And let the best QB for the team we have win.

Daniels and Burrow shouldn’t ever be in the same sentence.

Neither should nuss and burrow

The bias and ignorance on this site is baffling at times. Guess it is impossible for people to improve on their craft as they keep maturing and working at it? You do know a "barely known" pitcher by the name of Nolan Ryan struggled mightily in the major leagues with his control to the point that he wanted to quit. His wife wouldn't let him and he turned out ok. I'm not saying I want Daniels or Nuss cause I really don't give two flips who starts. I trust our coaching staff that does this for a living to make decisions they believe put our team in the most competitive position possible every game given our teams strengths and weaknesses. I don't care if we put the biggest lineman on our team back there and run "wham your mama" all night if that gives us the best shot.

I mean it’s somewhat related. Burrow and Daniels are different types of quarterbacks. I think Nuss is similar to Burrow. Obviously not as good, but they have the “if the CB isn’t looking at me, my receiver is open” mindset. I think Nuss also has more room for improvement. The only improvement I see Daniels making is actually pulling the trigger to make throws. I think Nuss has more room for improvement on things like accuracy, decision making, pocket awareness, etc

Ah, seems like the conversation can only involve "if jayden gets better" and anything else is ignorance and baffling to you.
