Bud Light sales suffered their worst week ever, falling 25.7% — endangering its status as the world’s No. 1 beer brand, according to the latest data provided to The Post on Tuesday.

——————

“While Bud Light loses week after week, Modelo Especial gains week after week and now Modelo outsells Bud Light on a national basis across all trade channels combined,” Bump Williams, who runs the consulting firm, told The Post.

“If this continues Modelo will surpass Bud Light for the year,” he added

The trans thing has now become kinda synonymous with the brand in pop culture and well outside of politics. They really fricked themselves because we’re getting to the point where habits have been changed.

Yeah, that sucks, but this was encouraging

The backlash also has caused sales of other Anheuser-Busch beers to dive.

For the week ending May 20, Budweiser plunged 11.2%, Michelob Ultra fell 6.5%, Busch Light was off 5.2% and Natural Light was down 4.9% according to the data.

Modelo hasn’t been the only competitor to benefit from Bud Light’s seismic miscalculation.

Yuengling, which bills itself as “America’s Oldest Brewery,” has seen sales of Yuengling Flight soar by a whopping 47.6% and its lager spike by 32% for the four-week period ended May 20, according to the data.

I didn’t know Modelo was so popular I figured Miller or Yuengling would be the one to surpass BL

Now is the modelo sales increase due to the Bud Light drama or the millions of Mexicans flooding into the country?

The fact that they haven't already been totally bankrupted is disheartening... Let alone the fact that somehow they're still the #1 beer seller.

They'll weather the storm and recover, because our collective memories are too short. The average American is too lazy to hold a grudge.

It’s not even a boycott at this point. At this point Bud Light has become
a meme in blue collar culture that you’re queer for drinking it. They’re fricked.

BL was my goto “going to drink a lot” beer for gameday, going out on the boat, beach, etc. it was really just a carry over from college.

I made the full switch to Yuengling light and haven’t looked back. I’ve only found Flight once and would switch if it was readily available. Yuengling needs to up their production and distribution.

Yep, and July 4th on the horizon - the big question is, when will we see layoffs and how bad will they be?

Is this a sign that we may have too many illegal immigrants in this country?
