I’m placing my money on: Meadows ain’t wornt no wire. Full stop. This is classic left playbook - squeeze as much out of it this way, because ain’t nothing else gonna work out for them against Trump. My assessment is that this is pure rumor and innuendo created to manipulate and fool the public, of course for the purpose of impugning his character and falsely implicate him in some vague, evil acts. Trying to turn people away from him in the voting booth because they know that’s ultimately all they got.

This seems very possible.
I still have a hard time thinking they could pull off wiring an executive in the WH - esp without WH counsel knowledge or someone picking it up.

My money is that the innuendo is being thrown at Meadows by Team Trump in an effort to trash Meadows in advance of any testimony he might give.

How would that even tie into the narrative of Meadows having worn a wire? Doesn’t even make sense.

Weren't there rumors several years ago of someone else wearing a wire? I remember it vaguely but I don't believe it was Meadows.

I think the idea would be that painting Meadows as a traitor to Trump even while in the White House would go a long way to minimize his credibility with the MAGA base and soften the impact of whatever adverse testimony he gave the grand jury and Smith.

You're thinking of the story of Rod Rosenstein having discussed with Andrew McCabe wearing a wire to meet with Trump.
