Many on here said he was being played out of position for years, but of course Loomis knows better

Mickey Loomis popped in another juicy fruit watching last night

Dennis Allen (who is supposed to be a D specialist) deserves a lot of this L too

I think that’s more Dennis Allen than Loomis. But yes, it’s a kick in the pants to Saints fans.
I said in another thread that Foskley will probably go to another team and be a double digit sack guy, but Allen wouldn’t play him because he’s not as big as a house and can only bull rush people.

You think Loomis tells DA (and Sean Payton!) where to play a guy? I know it hurts but you should probably be giving Loomis credit for drafting a great player, and then blame DA for wasting him.

Loomis traded up to get him in the draft
Coaches couldn’t find use for him over four years, that’s a fail

The same thing is gonna happen with Peyton Turner when he signs elsewhere.

Also has arguably the best coordinator to coach up linebackers.

I really liked the draft pick at the time. Thought he was a good value where we got him. I said at the time I always thought his best spot would be a 3-4 outside backer. Saints just waited to long to at least let him rush the passer.

Good for him. Looks like he earned a payday. Sucks it wasn't here, but I wish him well.

Hold on, the complaint here was that we tried to make him an off ball LB. The only time he did anything was the end of last year when he played on the edge.

To be fair, It also doesn’t hurt that he plays behind the best dline in the nfl.

He's a Pro Bowler. Can't believe we let him get away for free.
His instincts are top notch.
Loomis hates great white defenders. Hendrickson, Anzalone, and now Baun. All Pro Bowlers / All Pro talents. All left with zero compensation.

Just look at his sideline to sideline speed and instincts.
He looks much faster on the eagles than he did while with the saints.
I don't understand why it took the saints so long to let him blitz as a backer like they did with Ellis.

Told yal - Dennis Allen was a problem. He's rigid in how he envisions his defense. You could have prime suggs and he wouldn't put him as a pass rusher because he doesn't fit the mold he likes.

Then why did Loomis draft them?
