Anyone ever heard of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome?

I have a family member who keeps going to the ER for horrible vomiting and dehydration but he keeps saying the Dr's are full of shite and it's just weed. He smokes every few hours every day.

I listened to a podcast about it last year. I’d never heard of it.
Some lady up in Portland area I think.
She basically ended up bed ridden and couldn’t function. Of course I always wondered why she didn’t try quitting the weed way before it got so serious. Said she stopped smoking and all symptoms disappeared.
It’s still rare, but some folks can’t handle it

There are numerous medical journals written about CHS.
Many get relief by taking a shower… odd but true. I believe receptors are in overdrive, which causes vomiting. Maybe it’s a potency thing, could be genetic — they don’t know.

Your family member is the typical pothead who has rationalized his debilitating addiction as 'just pot'. It's 'just pot' for people who take a couple of hits in the evening or on the weekend. This jackass is using up valuable healthcare resources because he won't stop using what is causing his problem.
