Uncle Jesse can rock out. I knew he played guitar and made music but didn’t know he was this good of a drummer.

Skip to 5:50 for the final take.

I posted this the other day and got downvoted. I thought his final take was better than the original.

Never heard song before. Nails the intro.

I'm having a hard time believing he's never heard that intro in 25 years.

I'm not saying he's ever listened to the entire song, or every thought about or attempted to play it. But I'm betting he had a general idea of what to do there

His version was much MUCH better.

Then again it is papa roach.

He’s in his 60s and it’s not like it’s that complex of a song. I’m sure he heard it in the background a time or two but at some point there is only so much room up their to recall shite

I’m always skeptical when they say they have never heard this song before too. At the beginning of the video he ask if this was a metal song so he knew what rhythm (I’m not a drummer so this could be the wrong terminology) he should be playing. He did have a little bit of help from the crew.

An accomplished and well trained musician can pick up and improvise a lot of songs easily.

Didn’t he play with Charlie Robinson on a live album?

Possibly.

He has played with multiple iterations of The Beach Boys. I saw him with them in the mid 80s and I think he still tours with the Mike Love incarnation.

Thought that's what the thread was going to be about

Stamos famously played bongos with The Beach Boys in the Kokomo song/video.
ETA: of course already mentioned.

He was on tour with The Beach Boys around 2003 when they played Beau Rivage. He was out by the pool one day and there was a sheen on the water from all the lady gushing.
