Pete said "A lot of people recruit based on tradition. We recruit based on trajectory.
"A lot of those places, they go show them Heisman trophies. They can go show them national championships.
"Nobody in that damn building won 'em."
Hey Pete: If you don’t have tradition or history of winning championships, you have to make up something else to talk about!
Programs with tradition can have trajectory too but the difference is we have already been to the apex & you haven’t!

The spin on just about everything coming from Oxford is insane.

Much like the old adage for attorneys:
If the law isn’t in your favor argue the facts. If the facts aren’t in your favor argue the law. If neither is in your favor bang on table.
Pete Golding is banging on the table.

Who gives a frick about Ole Miss? They’re little brother.

Lane lives in Pete’s head. Pete is an ungrateful shite since he was kicked to the curb and Lane rescued him.
Ole Miss has no legacy to show them so yea you better have a different way

This is how this is going to go. IU looks pretty dominant whether OM beats Miami or not. Golding will do okay next year, but it will decline after that. This is his 15 minutes of fame. He will inevitably be fired and will go back to being a DC or HC at a mid major. I wouldn’t have blamed them for naming Golding as interim as late as it was in the process to find a coach, but permanent coach was knee jerk.

Is this what it feels like to have been a bama fan for the last 15 years or so?

Pete is doing his best impression of a head coach. Cut him some slack he’s got no clue what he’s doing

He’s at least a shrewd guy. He’s building a couple of seasons of good will with his shite talking.

September 19th is going to be a damn war.

I’m sure Pete used none of that when recruiting at Bama

What a convenient philosophy for a program that hasn’t won dick.
Posted on 1/7/26 at 9:15 pm to LongTime Tiger
They can talk shite all they want. They are about to win a natty
Posted on 1/7/26 at 9:16 pm to LongTime Tiger
So that reads to me we rely on tradition, not a winning tradition.
